It's the setup that the AI uses. You should be able to just grab one from some other track and throw it in there.

While you're at it, it might not hurt to add the fast.gns.sim file as well.

1) Download the MakeDat.exe that I sent earlier. Put it in your "New Folder".
2) Delete the "carsland speedway.dat" in "New Folder".
3 ) Double click the MakeDat.exe from step 1 (while it's inside of "New Folder"). This should create a "New Folder.dat"
4) Rename "New Folder.dat" to "carsland speedway.dat".
5) Copy "carsland speedway.dat" from step 4 into your track folder.

Please follow the steps I've taken time to write out for you. I just did the exact same thing as last time and it still worked.

Its says Coke Speedway because you need the edit the track name in the track.ini file..

NEVER make the .dat file until the track is completed and is ready to be released. Use the .ptf to load the track in Sandbox and it will also load the track for testing in NR2003. Make sure you have at least one pit stall created for your car and at least have a fast.cup.sim file in the directory too. Use testing mode to make sure the track works. If your track.ini file has pit stalls listed from the previous track and they don't jive with the new layout, never try to load all of the cars. The track will crash NR2003 or you'll get a can't load race weekend message. Once you have all of your pit stalls created and LP files then try to open the track in race mode.

ok so i opened the track in sandbox and i dont know how this happened but it somehow reset the track or something and it opens up the coca cola superspeedway. so i am assuming i will have to remake the track entirely but my question is do i just go to pile and click new to remake it and it will save where the coca cola track was?

Sandbox does not "reset" tracks. Either you didn't save your edit, or you saved it in a different location. If the .ptf file in your working track folder is loading something other that what you think you saved, then yes. You'll be starting over. I'm guessing that you didn't make a backup if the saved file? Always backup your work. I always load my file : ie - mytrack.ptf, save it as mytrack1.ptf and then save again back to mytrack.ptf. Then I start editing. Saving the backup should be done EVERY time you open the .ptf file. Failure to do so WILL cause you to lose your build.
