That's awesome Bill.
Santa Highbank! My wife agrees!
Trying to break the internet again I see.
Fix that post!
I did it took me a while to figure out how to download it from GIPHY
after I made it...that should have been "...for some tracks, wait, you must....YEEEES"
I'm waiting for the club version.
Then there's this "Short"..."The Cut"
John's cool image of the Can Am a while back, much has changed since then...
Looks great! Such an underrated road course, too bad it isn't around anymore.
Go to youtube and search for Assetto Corsa Riverside. That is the best version I have seen. I used to go to Riverside and most of the non NASCAR tracks are just garbage. Turn 7 drops slightly then rises slightly to joins the back straight perfectly flat just before the drop on the back straight. Everyone seems to get that wrong.
We know, Highbank knows more about Riverside than any man or woman alive, LOL!
I know me some Riverside, yup
Thank heavens. I once was supposed to do an online race with a vomit inducing rFactor version where you dropped from 7a to the back straight as much as the corkscrew.. I told them no way was I running that piece of ****. GPL did it rather well. Glad to know RIR is in good hands. As well as NASCAR,CanAM,F5000 and indy cars I also went to 1/2 mile drag racing and a stock car race on the half mile oval before they redid turn 9 1n 1969.
Well those nightmares will soon be over and the NR2003 community will get to drive on an actual Riverside for the first time
It is so nice to have a "local" do a track. I do understand the difficulties when some one in Europe is trying to make a track that was gone before he was born from a diagram and photos.
You probably do not need these, but I've got some pictures from unusual angles from riverside. One has the drivers lounge in the infield by the starting line. Another rare shot from ground level in turn 7a where you can see another car entering turn 7. Nice view of the elevation changes.
