Ok - I haven't updated my computer in several years.... gonna take it to my computer guru and get a few updates.
So here's my question
I finally got the game installed and running properly. Got several of the "built" tracks loaded along with cars for the 2019/2020 Mod.
SO what do I need to do to "get ready" to take my system in.
Can I take the whole game and download it onto a zip drive and then when I get it back just put it back on my hard drive - or will I have to start from scratch just like I never had the game loaded before.
I know I can add in my tracks and car files; but didn't know about all the headaches I might encounter and I want to make this as PAINLESS and easy as possible. I guess I'm trying to avoid that whole complete install deal...

Then when I get it going again I want to add this new Convertible Mod set they just released. I forgot what I have to do to add a second; third; etc set of mods to put the cars in.
I know it's easy; but I don't want to take any risk and screw up the whole thing.
I hope everyone is staying safe and so GLAD we got back to racing yesterday
THANKS

SO what exactly wwill you be updating, if you change os's, then you'll need to install the game from scratch, change vid card and you'll have to run the graphics config again, install the 1201 patch, then follow "TheBenCrazy" vid to make the tweaks to the game, make sure all is running correctly, then just take the mods you saved out of your current game and add them in.

Oh nothing "major"; keeping same OS - "might" add a video card - probably add a little memory.
It hasn't had a "deep cleaning" in several years.
I may even have him get rid of about all the software; etc and do a fresh install on everything I have the disc for.
I really don't have "much" original software left. My "newest" Microsoft office is from 2000. It's acting up so I know I'll need to buy (or download) new software there. I probably don't have much else besides my NR2003 that I can think of??
That's why I was curious - If I do a complete cleaning; if I could just save it all on a zip drive and load it back on.
I've probably got more "files" to save than the software I have loaded. THANKS

When I changed computers I just backed up my nascar 2003 folder on a portable drive. I had to reinstall the game to my new computer but I just took the back up folder and replaced the new nascar folder
