UPDATES!

So over the half-a-month I've been away, here's a list of things that can be done in the new version... I think I've remembered them all!
- Custom schedules
- Simulate races
- AI difficulty settings (option that suggests the proper in-game percentage; think: you're running a low-budget team, so the AI percentage would be very high)
- "Team Meetings" feature (big decisions like sponsorship and your role within the team are made at certain points in the season rather than before every race)
- Choose your car number, team name, and manufacturer
- Hire fictional drivers as an Owner
- Added Dirt Midgets as a vehicle

this looks very interesting.....something I would love.......In a perfect world we could have a Stock Car Management Sim with the races run in NR2003 with the results going into the management sim week by week.

Sorry peeps but this project is halted.
I got suuuper close, but I ran my spreadsheet tricks dry and just couldn’t blend realism and detail like I wanted; It was a constant battle between switching career roles, realistic dollar values, and realistic race results. A project like this needs to be an app and I have zero desire to learn that. BUT there’ll be others that will do a project like this justice. An app that could export NR2003 race results into a webpage would be awesome too; I tried, just not smart enough lol.
Any moderators reading this you can close this thread please.

That it indeed a total bummer. Can you possibly release what you have to this point? Maybe someone could further it where you are stuck? If nothing else, I'm sure its amazing for the rest of us as is. It looks fantastic!

Sorry but there’s nothing to release. I’m what could be described as a “mule-headed perfectionist” so, when I would find a hiccup or flaw, I would think of a fix, then take that idea and start completely over. Hence the great span of time between today and when I started the thread (and even MUCH longer before that). Versions I’ve kept are like an auto junkyard; there is no one finished product, only scraps. And I’m getting out of the junk business if you catch my drift. Again, fear not, I believe AutoStages looks much more promising than what I could have dreamed up as it’s taking direct game results without a drop-down or data entry in sight!

I do apologize for getting any one’s hopes up. This is why I need to refrain myself from posting about my projects lol.

Your honesty is greatly appreciated though. So thank you for your efforts anyway. Maybe someday we'll get a career mode and you'll be the guy that made it. You seem like a great candidate. Good luck to you!
