Well I loved the update, then failed to discover that a delete for all control settings was necessary. To help out some folks here in advance here we go..............

The new physics and FFB will not be 100% felt until your control set files are deleted and reinstall all your goods. I.E. wheel, pedals, shifters, etc...etc

To do this is as follows...........C:\Documents\Mygames\Simbin\Raceroom Racing esperience\Userdata\Controlset. Delete all files in this location. Once done reinstall as usual.
For safe measure reboot your computer and go on Steam to do a file verification. Reboot computer again..........I know, but I had trouble with it not doing that.

The feel is much different, physics and FFB and will take some getting use to.

As far as the UI...It's brilliant!! This is not a kids set up room. This actually makes more sense than any sim I've seen. Assetto Corsa is really nice and informative, rF2 is behind the times.........but holy cow!!RaceRoom Car Setup Screen (1).jpg

Wait, a setup menu with a tab describing how each setup change functions? Not very often you find those in sims, usually it just gives you options and expects you to know what you are doing.

With spending more time on R3E, it seems they want to really keep the unskilled at set ups away from their sim. Most of the cars that were a get in and go and fine tune as you go are not to be any longer. Shift patterns are all jacked up, some will have 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the same ratios (Merc DTM). And first and second sooo long it takes 80 percent of Spa's straight to shift into 3rd (Porsche 962) This I think is a bit strange, some cars that were firm feel like you're driving on ice.

Not sure if this is by design or a glitch in the update, or even a failed update on my end....lost signal or timed out.

If anyone has noticed this or not please post your findings here as I love this sim and have been running it for many years. And would like to learn and develope a technique to master this issue.

Cheers all Dave

I fired the sim up and went to Zanvoort with the Cougar, All I had to do do is scroll threw the wheel setting to find my custom G27 load them up and go. As for the car set up it was the same as it was a week ago when I ran a few laps. No problems on my end what so ever.

Yeah some cars are just fine, other not so much. If it keeps up I may just do a clean install. As there may have been a time lock when it was updating.

It does feel a bit looser than before with the FFB but it's just getting use to it I guess. As we've been running Assetto Corsa all the time I haven't fired up R3E in a long time so I need to get the feel back for it. It seems cleaner and tighter for the graphics.

Yes Mine is fine with that track/car, but it's a free car. the DLC cars is where I'm having issues.

Any DLC or changed set up cars needs to be reset to default for this update to not only work for the car, but to UNFUBAR the settings in the first place!
I drove the 962 and the DTM Merc and both were toatally FUBAR'd in gearing and suspension. as well FFB were totally different feeling for just 2 cars. I got in the FF amd it was like driving on ice with next to zero info coming thru the wheel. Set all to default.....BINGO!!!! Better than ever, I'll be spending a lot mor time here now. I just wish R3E would be mention to do these things BEFORE the update release!!
