A member over at SRD did a complete set. But I can't remember their username.

They did the original set in '01 and this project was a rework at 2048 with 100% correct logos etc

From James:

Still working on some fixes before I'm ready to repost at least some of them to be honest. Life of a perfectionist. haha. :) And the set was always @ 1024x1024. Never created a 2048x2048 set, due to no templates being out for that resolution for the original models.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't be opposed to releasing a few at that size if a reasonable template ever came out. My Jeff Gordon base for example, was completely made in Inkscape, and I can export it at any size I want. Was the only way I could get the flame transitions right.

Thanks! Where can I find the 1024X1024 carset?

am I wrong guys in thinking someone needs to learn how to create some content for himself? I mean when you have so many wants and needs, it's time to develop some skills, as we all did...

as the saying goes, we can throw you fish all day long but at some point you need to learn to fish

I spoke with James today and he filled me in on some details. The project is still ongoing as he has recently found some higher res photos that is allowing him to update some cars. Like for all of us, this is a side project that he works on in his free time, so there is no time table. There are no plans to re-do the cars in 2048x2048 as that would be a massive undertaking that he does not have time to dedicate to.

His plan is to get through some cars as time allows and then eventually post them individually here.

The skins are like "Wow, daddy-o". They're going great.

I think BillA1947 did some nice 2048 templates, would take a great deal of work to transfer those paints over to them. A month, geeze

I'm kicking myself right now, because there already was a MBNA Cal Ripken jr 400 carset made by Masgrafx. Now where can I find a version of Dover that can fit 43 cars?
