No.
Install GIMP (it's free).

Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Channel
Magic Wand Tool - Delete the area.
Export to PNG.

Thanks for the advice. Do you know a site where I can download logos, though? That was more what I was looking for. Not necessarily tansparent thanks to that but google searching is getting quite old.

No.
There's literally a Downloads button at the top of the page.

Elsewhile, I find I have to make a lot of my own stuff bespoke. Nobody has a 2UW logo from 1976, for instance.

Is there something you are specifically looking for that you cannot find? You can type into google whatever you're looking for. For example, let's say you want to find a Mcdonald's logo, just type in "Mcdonald's Logo PNG" and go to images and click on the filter, and filter to the highest quality available. When you are looking for them make sure the logo is clear or has the checkered background and be sure to download the image so it stays in high quality. If you don't want to do that, there are a lot of sites that have logos. You can try "nr2003 sponsor logos" and go down the list, that's what I do and you'll find some good stuff.

Google, then I try Bing (sometimes Bing has better/different options of the same search), then duckduckgo as well. Also Best Brands of the World is a great vector logo site. You can then convert the illustrator vector files to a high quality png.
