Heyo. I've been considering getting an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive or some other virtual reality set, mainly for sim racing. I was curious if anyone here that plays NR2003 has a VR headset to let me know if that combo would be even remotely feasible. We all know VR works amazingly well with iRacing, as that would be one of the biggest reasons I'd get one. But NR2003 is a different story, since the game was released roughly 10 years before the VR technology became a thing. Since I don't own a VR headset I don't know what sort of setup or calibration is involved, but I was figuring if you took the axis that you use to look left and right, and calibrate/assign that to the cockpit look buttons in the NR2003 setup menu, that could potential work as some make-shift NR2003 VR. You obviously wouldn't be able look up and down in car, but you usually don't anyway while racing, mainly side to side. With my limited knowledge of the VR headsets I was thinking that it could work with NR2003 the way I described, but have no way of knowing for sure. I'd love to hear some insight from someone who actually as a VR set who could perhaps try/has tried experimenting with this. Let me know your thoughts/opinions. Thanks!

Someone is already working on this. But, you could use NR Cam Hack, and use the mouse moment to look around, which is like vr, but using your mouse to move. Maybe, connect the headset in and press the button that enables you to look around. But, it should be possible. After all, NR2003 is king.

Wish I could help but I know absolutely nothing about vr. It is a great idea though! Would be cool to look left and right without pressing any buttons

TrackIR does work, but, when using monitors, why would anyone want to turn their head & have the perspective displayed on the monitors shift to left or right, & HAVE to look out the corner of their eyes to see the monitor? My TrackIR hasn't been used since 2017. I switched to Win7 GeForce 3-monitor display so my display spans all three. I see nobody chimed in with Oculus Rift DOES work, assuming it's a no.
