The update on Wednesday made NR work on one day, which was that same day. So that's just lovely
NR2003 started to lag and stutter a few days ago

Right now, I have realized that NR2003 will literally work for 1-2 days every month. The game worked on the 15th and sometime around late January to Early February, it's like a crapshoot but the House Always Wins or in this case, makes NR irritable as hell during gameplay.
While that previous statement aged as well as a Terry Funk retirement, I have gotten myself a fix to my stuttering issue. I just need to have my laptop's WiFi turned off once I turn it on so the game doesn't stutter during gameplay. It only stutters once my laptop has a Internet Connection so yeah. Got myself a fix that won't last 1 day
Well in my experience with the latest updates of W10 the stuttering has gone for a few days but after that the stuttering is present in lowest levels compared to when the first update of W10 20H2-2004 came out, and i tried your fix also but i have a little problem: i use my phone as Steering Whell and it connects with Wifi, so, this isn't a way to fix that on my side, but obviously will be a great solution for many others. I'm enjoying again the great races in NR2003, with low levels of lag but playable
You could always run a virtual machine. What a virtual machine is just another OS inside your OS. You can use either Oracle VM VirtualBox or VMWorkstation Pro. Both are great, you could search Youtube videos on how to get them working, or fiddle around. You do need a copy of a Windows OS in .iso form.
Just to know...when your game started to lag after the windows update did you try to reinstall the DX9 Update with reshade?
I no longer have any lag issues since I play it with WiFi off, which I think was the reason why NR2003 was giving those issues for a while.
Glad it run fine! I know it was fixed I was a bit late and it's the first time I heard NR2003 was lagging because of the WiFi. I add it to my well-known issue list haha.
For me, I always fixed the lag by redoing the DX9 update with ReShade and I check too if theres an update on the d3d8to9 dll on GitHub. But that is for Nvidia user only of course and it always depend what material we have.
