NR2003 Crashing when clicking drive button

I have been having problems lately. I installed reshade and used FIDANZA's preset to make the game look better, but when i click drive for a race session, the game freezes and then exits. Same when i was looking at replays, the game just quits on me. I don't know have any solution or don't know what to do honestly. I'm hoping i can find a solution soon.

i would try loading a default track, if that doesn't work id check if you installed "FIDANZA's preset" in the right spot,and if it still is having issues i dont know

I've done those things, even removing reshade, no hope. It's ok, no issue honestly, i'm just hoping one day it could somehow work like normal

You may need to uninstall, then reinstall without reshade. From what I've seen all over the net, reshade causes more trouble than it's worth.

Exactly this. I was having ALL sorts of issues very recently.

Ended up doing a fresh install, added items bit by bit.

The culprit was reshade. Game worked almost flawlessly on just about any mod/track combo with even the dx8 update and 4GB patch until that god-forsaken thing come into play.
I will never use reshade again. That program causes all kinds of issues behind the scenes (looked at my Event Viewer, reshade doesn't play nice, at least on Windows 10, regardless of the app its being used on).

That being said, could be the version of reshade, some may find more success with it, with their specific PC configs, but IMO, it's not at all worth the hassle.

Alright, thanks for the info. I'll probably reinstall it someday. Right now i don't really feel like playing nr too much.

Ok, as of now i'm going to reinstall and see how it works out, been a while since i played, i tried to launch a race and the same result. I'll maybe update on what happens after the fresh re-install is complete. when it's done installing, i'll test out the default tracks with the default carset that comes with the game. If it doesn't work then i'll try to do something else.

Nvm, i just turned off DEP and it works now.

Yeah DEP does NOT play nice with most older games. I keep mine turned off.

I specifically set it to only turn off for NR2003, for the rest of apps and exe's i just keep them on, so anything from the old days will not cooperate with DEP basically. I even installed another copy on a different drive and managed to use reshade on it, so for me the issue was DEP. But it may vary tho. Not always caused by DEP, but for me it was DEP
