I just made a better cautions mod how to video. That should go live tonight. Hope that helps people to use it. Seems not many people know about it.

Does anyone else have an issue with the game not throwing a caution at the end of stage 1. Like no matter what i do i cant get a stage 1 caution.

Do you get a caution for stage 2? Are you using the Better Cautions mod? And are you racing or spectating?

Yeah i get the caution for stage 2 and i am using better cautions. I am also racing

Assuming a false positive but my windows 11 defender keeps saying there is a trojan in the autostages zip:

And when you get the stage 2 caution, is it triggered by BC or from the chat command? I'll look into it.

It’s triggered by the chat command. Its weird it will say the stage ends early due to a caution when there is none.

That's really interesting. So it sounds like AS isn't controlling BC properly for you. AS is set up to throw cautions using BC, but if BC is not available it will use the chat command as a backup. Make sure when you start AS, you right click and select Run as Administrator.

But if it's saying the stage ends early without a caution, that's why it isn't throwing a caution at the end of a stage - because it's already counting the stage as completed. Never seen that happen before tbh. If you can record a video and PM me, I'll see if I can tell what's going on.

I had the same issue with stage 1 and I don't uses BC. It brings the prompt 3 laps to go, but no one for 1 lap or the yellow. Stage2 works perfectly fine.

It's because the program injects itself into memory while reading the telemetry

Another idea for a feature I think would be cool to stat track if possible: How many cars the lead car(s) lap in a race. So say there are 5 different leaders in a race a stat that can track how many cars they each individually put a lap down.

I could use it to hand out bonus points to drivers that lapped a certain amount of (or the most) cars in a race or something.

I'm just getting back into NR2003 after a couple years away. Ran one race at Martinsville with Autostages & better cautions mod. It also did not throw a caution for end of stage one, I had to manually throw it but it did record stage point winners. It worked fine for stage 2.

I believe that this occasionally happens when opening BC after starting the race session as the programs aren't synced properly. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure why this happens to some people. It's truly never happened to me. Any more info/details about your race setting could be helpful!

Like I said before. I had the same issue and I don't use BC. It also only throws the Caution for Stage2
