Like I said before. I had the same issue and I don't use BC. It also only throws the Caution for Stage2
Hence the "I'm not entirely sure why this happens to some people."

Dude this game existed for 20 years before I implemented an entirely brand new solution in about three weeks. It's never going to be perfect. But if you or anyone else can provide me with more detail, I'll gladly try to diagnose the issue. So far, no one who has this error has given me much more information beyond "it's not working".

Either that, or you're free to parse through a few thousand lines of C++ to see what's happening. Be my guest?

I believe that this occasionally happens when opening BC after starting the race session as the programs aren't synced properly. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure why this happens to some people. It's truly never happened to me. Any more info/details about your race setting could be helpful!
I started BC from main menu. Both races I've tried had the same issue. Not a huge deal as can throw my own caution. One thing I would love to see implemented if possible is a lap countdown if you aren't using the stages and using the "Stat Tracker.exe". It works great when using stages but when not using stages it just says how many laps the race is.

Hey sorry I didn't wanted to offend you. I just wanted to inform you that the issue exists even if you don't use BC just for you to know that you don't head to a wrong direction. I'm sorry that I can't give you additional informations other than that it worked fine on Version 1.0

Weird issue here, I started running a season using Autostages and I got through the first two races with no problem, the points were calculated correctly and everything seemed fine. Then I ran the third race and when I checked the points afterwards, I noticed the points only said 1 race so I thought that was odd. Then when I checked the "Race Results" folder in the "Season" folder, I noticed that the only thing in there was the file for the Las Vegas race I just ran and the first two races were completely gone. I checked the recycle bin to make sure I didn't delete them by accident and everything.

My only thought for what could've happened is before Vegas, I changed the app properties to run as an administrator by default since I had been clicking "Run as administrator" each time before that. So I guess what I'm asking here is, is there anything else you could think of that would make the race files just vanish like that or should I be good to start my next season without worries?

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while since I've updated AutoStages as I simply haven't had the time to work on it recently. However I have been reading your feedback and hope to have some time to work on v3 in the coming months.

I've been sitting on this version of AutoStages for weeks and figured it's best to just share it as a little beta test. This is only the 3 Stage non-season version with the following tweaks:

- Automatic toggle of the "Race Back to Cautions" rule in the Better Cautions mod. This allows for the modern caution flag system to be used with AutoStages where the field is frozen when the caution comes out. Here's how it works: The "Race Back to Cautions" option will be unchecked by AutoStages during the race stages, then automatically turned on once the leader reaches 65% of the final stage lap. Once the leader reaches 70%, the caution flag will fly and the entire field races back to the line to finish the stage. "Race Back to Cautions" will then be automatically unchecked when the next stage begins.

- Automatic Overtime. If the race is under caution on the second to last lap of the race, AutoStages will now automatically select the "Add Laps for Green-White-Checkers" option in Better Cautions. This will extend the race into the overtime period only when appropriate and it will be deactivated once the race concludes, \*hopefully\* avoiding the typical bugs associated with this option. Note that some advanced stats will not be exported if the race reaches overtime due to some errors I haven't diagnosed yet.

That's all! The setup and installation for this mod is exactly the same as v2.1. Just change your AutoChat #5 to "OVERTIME RULES ACTIVE$" if you want an on-screen notifications. Here's a tutorial link:

If you all can test these automatic option toggles for me, I can begin implementing this into the 2 and 4 stage versions and all season versions. Mostly, keep an eye on making sure everything switches at the right time. As always, you may run into some bugs. It's not perfect, but any feedback helps! Previous errors that some have mentioned for v2.1 may still be present in this beta build.

Have fun!

Just seeing this. Not exactly sure why your files disappeared like that. I would definitely make sure to always Run as Administrator so you always have maximum read/write permissions. The Season exe's are designed to read and write season info from the .csv files in the Config folder, but not to delete anything. Be sure to save a ton of backup files!
