The 1950s gave us the coolest looking cars ever.

The 2010s gave us the best ICE engines ever (I'm looking at you LFX).

But the 1980s gave us the coolest looking dashboards ever.

In 2015 Josh Wise's #98 Dogecoin car in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma was sponsored for Ð67,000,000 which at the time was worth just under $55,000.

As of today, the value of that sponsorship is $4,489,000 for one race.

Taken over a full season, that sponsorship would have now cost $161million, assuming similar rates for all 36 races.

Hey NASCAR... rain tyres exist. What happened at 'Daytona, is daft.

I bet you could have working compounds on a Superspeedway.

If I'm remembering this correctly they tried testing rain tires on ovals in the past however there was some extremely funky discrepancy with tire wear on the ovals with grooved tires. Like I think it was the right sides wore down significantly faster than the left sides to the point where it was not seen as viable in the slightest.

Good on NASCAR for finally getting around to bringing rain tires to road courses, though.

Andrew Harris - 1983 Bathurst 1000.

He gave up his Falcon so that Dick Johnson could run that car on the Sunday.
Someone else gave him a Holden Commodore so that he could run that car on the Sunday.

That Holden Commodore might possibly be the only GM car to have ever carried both Motorcraft sponsorship, a Ghia badge, and the only Commodore to be officially listed as running a Cleveland V8 (even though it wasn't)

"Is your fridge running?"

"My refrigerator with legs is standing in the middle of your street gripping a rolling pin. The question should be... Are you running?"

I couldn't help it. Just the camera angle is odd enough but them all separated by glass wall and the bad reflection that Adam is behind just makes it even more comical.
