Hungry Jack's is named after Jack Claim, who was guy who set up the franchise chain in Oz. There was already a Burger King in Adelaide and not even a multi national corporation can kick an existing entity off of existing IP.

It's a bit like how Target Corporation lost their case against Targett's in Tasmania.

I've played golf in the rain... Ball hits a water puddle, instant stop, forget ball skipping.

As for Whoppers in Aussie land - I'll bet they wish they had a Whataburger instead. :)
