I'd like to know your unpopular opinions on NASCAR, such that are far removed from the norm that many people agree on, that would accumulate a lot of hate otherwise. I'll start with my examples.
I like Toyota being in NASCAR.
The COT's looked good.
NASCAR heat evolution is a good game (NOT a great game, but a good game.)

First I'll respond to your DaleTona....
1) Yoda in NASCAR...hey if Fiat (Dodge) isn't gonna come back on board, I have no issues with Yoda being in...Bring on the Datsuns and VWs too!
2) COT Looks good....All I'll say is this..I saw someone using the COT mod (with Wing) in a road racing series a while back (years), the cars were painted in an rc car fashion using number plates and sponsors splashed all over the side (no big billboard numbers) and they looked fantastic...
NHE...stand by to be amazed...it's gonna get way mo' betta...go check out the article at Race Department on modding the game (paints and other hacks...)
Now for my outrageous statements....
1) I want Jimmie Johnson to get his 7th so some of the slobbering over Dale Sr. will die down...I know, riots will start over that kinda talk...
2) I want a Beer Brand as the Cup title sponsor...C'mon I mean it's about beer people...they know how to promote...
I want a group of money people to buy out the France family...people that care about motorsports more than lining their pockets at the expense of the brand.

I agree, it's just that there aren't many drivers that I like that do well with them

I kinda expected this, I liked IL and 2011 from what little I played of them, so I kinda expected this from HE

Now for mine
1) I LOVE underfunded teams, specifically FRM and BKR
2) The EA NASCAR games were pretty good, specifically 2005 and 07
I KIND OF like the new chase format, I like (or in the case of Busch, hate) how it encourages winning, but I definitely see how it can get stale seeing the same people win week after week (case in point, Busch). But I honestly think it will be phased out in a few years anyways.

Well, Dodge is bad at supporting teams. Pontiac is dead, Plymouth is dead, Oldsmobile is dead, Mercury is dead, GM and Ford do not want another brand to compete against themselves (Which I believe is one of the reasons GM pulled Pontiac out of NASCAR)
Without Toyota it would be Ford Vs Chevy, and with the common body shapes, might as well become indycar. Toyota may not belong in NASCAR, but NASCAR is already lacking manufactures, and GM and Ford are not willing to give the support Big Yota teams get.
If I had the money to bring back Pontiac I would bring back its famous nameplates, and bring the Pontiac name back to NASCAR, replacing Toyota.
If I owned Pontiac, THIS would be my lineup
Grand Prix (The Base model, comes in coupe and sedan fourm)
G8 (High Performance Sedan, would succeed where the SS did not, Would be entered in the Cup Series)
GTO (High Performace Coupe)
Firebird (Muscle Car, equivalent to Camaro potential Xfinity Series Entry?!?)
Trans Am (Performance Trim Firebird)
G8 ST (Coupe Utility Vehicle, potential Truck Series Entry?!?)
G8 PT (High Performace Trim ST)

Yes they do, but why did all the Dodge team leave for Ford and Toyota? When dodge left, nobody wanted to run them. The only team dodge had was Penske, and that is because with his huge race team, and retail truck business, Roger Penske could afford to support himself. Even he went to ford AFTER winning a championship with dodge.
They were forced to drop support due to low sales and the Economy crisis, and the only team that remained was the one building their own chassis AND engines
