Need help with car files

I was downloading cars for my 2020 season but I realized that one of the users where uploading .CAR files and not CUP.CAR files. If it does not have "car" in the name will it still work on NR2003?

I do believe you need to add in the cup part for it to work. Look at the other files you have for the mod your getting them for.
