Moving a Base from one mod to another

Is there an easy way to move a base from mod to another? Ex. Moving a base from a MENCS19 car to a SRD 2020 car. Or, what do you do to move a base from one car to another?

Make sure your base is on one layer, paint a square (about 10 pixels sq.) at 2 oposing corners of your base layer, copy that layer, paste it on the new template, make sure your pasting the same size layer as your template. then you'll need to move some things around to line them up on the new template, or even have to add in to fill gaps.

What if you think of them as sticker elements?
Then you can just cut bits out of them and paste the bits as layers.

If good enough is good enough, then you can end up in some interesting places. There basically are no actual bases for anything I want because I live in the realms of insensibility.

Basically the whole "painting" process is like applying layers of stickers on top of each other.
