OK let's review some things:

ONE, just one Mock Season thread per member at a time...I find that many folks get all hot to do a three series thing with NASCAR's big 3 but the truth is they hardly ever are able to maintain one let alone three...so just one active series at a time.

Is This Dead?
If I have to post that in your thread, you've neglected your Mock Season and it is in danger of going Bye-Bye...we don't need 14-30 inactive abandoned Mock Seasons going in here that a member may or may not ever return to complete...which is what we had yesterday when I started the weeding out of dead threads.

It's this simple guys, if you can't see that you are going to complete the thing, don't start it...it makes you and I and the site look foolish. Many folks think Mock Seasons and Offline Leagues are silly wastes of time. I am one person in the sim racing community who truly believes in them, someone who really enjoys seeing them done, when they are given the time and energy they can be pretty cool and entertaining...but they can also be dull and uninteresting wastes of space if not maintained. That just gives ammo to those who would just as soon see them disappear completely. Don't give them ammo here at Stunod Racing PLEASE!

Is This Dead? Part 2
How long is too long between updates and races, ect...?
Personally I think if you go more than a week without adding a new race or providing some interesting backstory posts then maybe you don't have time to do a Mock Season...think about it? If you aren't interested enough to maintain your own thread, why would anyone else care about it?

As I have already made clear, I support all of you who want to do this, but you must want to do this and take it somewhat seriously for us to continue to give you space to do it...Throw me a bone and show some effort...weekly at least....

I am going to create some new title banners (like the COMPLETED one) that say somelike ACTIVE, to indicate that your Mock Season is considered alive and well...there will be ones for other various states of the thread that will give you some idea if you are in danger of being deleted...but really people don't let it get to that...

More Than Results
Posting lists of results and virtually nothing else is rather boring. I've seen some very alive Mock Season lack any interesting facets because they are just results lists...a picture speaks a 1,000 words you know? Backstories are fantastic for drawing your followers into the fantasy of your Mock Season, after all that's what this is supposed to be, you telling the story of your season. Tell it! Show it! Make it exciting, make it like something folks wish they had seen themselves, even more tell the stories so well that they feel as though they actually did see it...

One last thing...
Maybe your thread has a member or two that are participating by posting in your thread...don't neglect them, they are hard to come by and only help your Mock Season gain followers...it's nice to know someone gives you some interest, repay them with more updates and activity.

Thank you for your hard work on these Mock Seasons, I appreciate the added content they are to Stunod Racing. Now make me proud, make your Mock Season something special, something that sets the barre for this type of content...but also don't make me delete your thread because you abandon it....

I still suffer from motivation problems, I start a mock season, but then I get overwhelmed, and then I feel bad about quitting, which makes me reluctant to continue, which drains my confidence, which makes it hard for me to commit to future projects.

If I could actually get something done for once, maybe I'd get the confidence to actually finish my many projects.

Mental Discipline is in order...folks just don't understand how much time and energy it takes to do these things...and more to the point, to see them thru...I always tell folks do short series not 36 race seasons, do a 10 race thing and finish it, it's much healthier

I am thinking of doing a mock season.. now, I am curious whether it is encouraged to use self painted cars only? And how much freedom is acceptable regarding teams, drivers and tracks? I do not really enjoy it when a racing series visits the same track twice in the same season, so I will most likely use a track like Spa or Austin instead of using a track like Charlotte twice.

I will use the mencs 18 mod, as that is my favorite.

I have been doing F1 mock seasons for years, but F1 has gotten a bit dull, and F1 games in general always lack something. I have done quite a bit of editing and modding for F1 challenge 99-02, but the AI is just a bit.. bad.

Looking forward to use NR2003 instead.

just a general Q for guys who run mock seasons, how do you get a 43 car field of AI? or do you just start last and let the other 42 race?

You start 42 and your car and then exit the car before the green

I'm sort of uncreative and I haven't really done a full-fledged mock season in a while. My free time has sadly been reduced to watching videos on YouTube and going on social media. I just need some help in the creativity department, that's all. I'm pretty restricted with mods since the newer ones lag on my PC. I've had a good amount of ideas but I can't decide which one to do.

Tell me your ideas. I would love to hear!
I am currently doing a 2005 season, mainly trying to figure out a presentation format that works well.
