I've definitely read everything that I could find. I just don't understand how it works for most but not for others. Just doesn't make sense. I did notice that when I change the LOD in the player.ini or changing the car detail level in the game options to a lower value then the rear tires disappear at a closer distance to me.

Well I just did a fresh install of NR2003 with all the patches and updates and NoCD. Only thing that is not original is the MENCS19 mod and the rear tires still disappear. At least I know it wasn't a tweak I made. Going to go through a bunch of video drivers to see if there is something there that is the culprit.

If you find anyway to fix this, please post. Thanks..

I also think it goes from case to case. My case for example, I use a 2010 computer (that I assembled in that epoch) i3 3.0, 8GB RAM, 1GB Nvidia 9500GT, SATA 500GB, 22 inch monitor. All they are parts of that epoch. Running Windows 10.

The only tweak I did was the rend_dxg:
AnisotropicLevel=8
TextureSetSize=1024000000

I also use custom sounds.

Apart from MENCS, I get FPS in the average of 50. Sometimes 70, sometimes 40, in specific cases 100, but anyway, it ends up turning 50 in general. When I use MENCS the FPS turn around 30. So far I haven't noticed the wheels disappearing. Follow my configuration:

So I just sat on pit row and let the cars go by. I was looking in the mirror watching the on coming cars from behind. I saw all 4 wheel from the cars coming from behind drop down on to the track. So it looks like all 4 wheel are up in the fender walls and when they get closer they drop down. And when they get about 10 cars ahead of me they suck back up in to the fenders. They don't disappear.

I decided to do what you said and I paid close attention. If it weren't for that I would never notice that the wheels were gone... Well, as I use 1440x900 on a 22-inch monitor, I can barely realized. I managed to take 2 screens with freecam.

Look at car number 8. There seems to be the LOD (It seems to lose some of the interior detail as well). If I hadn't taken the same test as you, I would never have noticed this detail! Honestly, I confess that it doesn't bother me. However, I believe that whoever has a more powerful computer with a bigger monitor, should be annoying.

Not with me........ Thats the only Mod that it happens with.

I did some tests around here, with MENCS17 it also happens. With the other mods, the wheels don't disappear, but other details fade away. Everything as expected when we talk about LOD.

I was doing some research on D3D and when there are textures in the distance it can be fixed by disabling Mip Mapping. Or something like that. Still messing with it just out of curiosity. I'm not expecting a game from 2003 to be like the latest and greatest game but if there is a setting, a driver, or file I need to fix then I'm the type of guy that will do that. If it's a mod issue then I'm fine with that. I consistently get 100-125fps on 4k triple screens with all setting maxed out so it's not about performance but more about finding why the mod has this issue on my 2 big rigs but it doesn't do it on my laptop which doesn't have a dedicated video card. :nerd:

It's like I said, I think it's a much more noticeable thing for those who use big screens. In my example, a 22-inch and also a 15-inch notebook with stock integrated video, if you hadn't spoken, I wouldn't have noticed. Really, you can barely see it using small screens. I tested with GN63, CUP90 and PWF_CTS. All of them lose little details almost imperceptible. I never played NR2003 on a screen larger than 22, but I agree that with big screens it should be much easier to notice and should be annoying. Evidently it would be great if had a workaround.

I'm using a 42in screen. I will have to test other mods. I know the NXS20 mod is pretty awesome. I use that mod more than any other. I can't see an issue with that one.

I have a big issue with the NXS20 mod. And when I say big, I mean the rear view mirror is WAAAYYY too big for triple 50" screens when using Camhack to get the proper FOV. But I'm probably the most miniscule of percentages of people that has that problem. It really is a strong mod. Probably the best I've seen in a long time and I'm grateful for their hard work. Pair that with a really great Xfinity 2020 season and it's win in my book!
