Its a great thing we can share what we put our time and effort into this sim. I could fill a 43 field alone from the #8 car made in 2003. So the more we produce the better. Its also great we have more accurate models then we used to. I myself have no car sets from 1995 up in my cup 90 folder because the 98 mod is way more accurate. Keep on rolling yours and everyone else efforts are so much appreciated.

I feel bad. I didn't know someone was already making the set. I'm glad you're going to finish it, though. If you need any of my vectors or photoshop files, just let me know. I've got an idiotic amount of reference photos, too.

I'm glad you're planning to finish your set. You should. I've been in this whole mod world since 1994. Having multiple options of similar things has always been a thing. And your work should continue.

Regarding your last entry, I spotted, for your 25 car. I've attached to this message a reference photo of what the tail looks like which includes a close up of the 3 medals that appear on the car on both the tail and the rails. I'll send you the vector I've completed for the medals, too. The image is from one of the Brickyard 400 practice sessions.

No need to feel bad, at all, in the exact same way you have been using painting as therapy after losing a pet, so have I! Its weird, I started in October of 2019 just painting to take my mind off losing my sweet pup, and its been a really healing process for me to find my love for the sport again.

I've just been dm'd a lot today here, discord and other areas, and I just wanted to let everyone know what my plan is rather than typing it out over and over. I appreciate your willingness to help, I'm a big fan of your set, you did a phenomenal job! Im looking forward to picking your brain and reference photos!

Glad to see you are going to finish your set after all the work you have put in to it. Dr. Noise you did a amazing job on your set so no need to feel bad that you both did a car set from the same year. It happens that certain car's and sets have been done by different painter's. I have all the 43 car's from 96 close to finished because I wanted to do them so it happens. It's not a knock on anyone else's version of those car's. But you both have made a huge contribution to the community with each version. It's not a competition and awesome to see painter's willing to help each other out! Sorry you both lost a pet because I lost my dog earlier this year so know how hard it can be.

Absolutely. I'm happy to help. I'll keep an eye on your posts here now I know you've been posting stuff here. Don't hesitate to ask for any vectors, though. I've basically redrawn everything from scratch. Even the tiniest of logos. Sorry to hear about your dog. My loss was a cat. He was the best. Oddly enough, such as life can be, the day I finished my work was the day my other cat had to be put down, too. It's been.... rough.

I saw a meme a while ago. I don't remember the context, but at the end a guy is celebrating, saying "Cool! We have two cakes."
I think that's the way we should look at cases like this. I think it is a mistake for anyone to say that Majestic's work is no longer needed.
The more carsets we have, the better for us lovers of this game.

Then, keep up, Majestic! :fist
And great job, Dr. Noise :clapping:
And I'm sorry about your losses.

I don't want to go too off topic on YOUR thread/showroom. With that being said, 2021 has sucked, and I am in the grieving club as well. My best friend was killed in June while on duty. He was protecting his community, trying to apprehend a suspect high on meth in a stolen vehicle. He was struck and dragged. Where I am going with this, is I spent ALOT of time playing NR2003 using your 99 set. I guess a way for me to go back, and escape to simpler times. So thank you for that, and to all the talented modders/painters! Magesticexpress, you along with others have provided an escape, and therapy for people and you probably don't even know it.

I'm sorry for your loss my friend. I can only imagine how hard it has been for you. I'm glad our set was able to provide an escape for you, we never really know what we do can impact others, and I'm happy to have played a small role in your healing process!

Here is one I always will be tweaking on, but TBH, there's not much more that can be perfected on this one. Introducing my final Jeff Gordon DuPont Automotive Finishes Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This car, driver, and team are the reason why I love this sport, and I am very happy with how this turned out. Like the previous cars over the last month, all logos are redone, colors adjusted to perfectly match the car in real life. The 24 always seemed to be a different shade of blue each week depending on how the sun hit the paint, so here is the classic dark navy we saw run most of the time. Big S/O to Thunder98 for his tutorials in Illustrator.

All logos were created in Illustrator

Car looks fantastic. One thing I've noticed on a few of your cars I've went back and look at is this layer. When you're not using the tape overlay layer for the valence, don't forget to turn off the tape's shade layer, too. That layer is to enhance the appearance of the rivets being under the tape layer. It's a simple thing that I, too, had to turn off on all my cars when I finally realized I was doing it 50 cars in. lol

Good catch, I've never noticed that before, I'll have to go back and turn that off!
