Hey.

I got the right side corner of where the seperated hood of the template aligns with the rest, but the left side looks weird no matter what i do. I could really use some help.

Left Side:

Right Side

Here is what it looks like on the template:

I can't figure out for the life of me what i'm doing wrong, any ideas? Any possible solution would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you're definitely off on one side or actually the whole red and black decal is off center, you have more red on one side, just what I am seeing, that's where your picking up that triangle. I see on other Pennzoil cars that the decal is a little lower than you have it, it might work if it was lower.
Looks lower here

I tried it myself and got this:
cot.jpg
I made a layer and used the path tool and filled it with black, on the same layer I used the path tool and filled it with red. You didn't say what template that is. I know cot but this is also a cot, put up the template and I'll try that one. The x file also, try a different x file first.

This was originally a BCR 2009 template but i made some self-modifications to fit the set theme more. The first one is the one i'm using, the second one was the original template that i later modified.

Ok, I can do the same thing with that template.
Maybe it's your xfile.
I used your 2021 template the other one is not a template.
Put your image up and I will put it on my x file and check it.

I modified the base a bit while waiting for a response a few days ago but the triangle is still there regardless so i think you're right on the xfile. Here is the flat from the carviewer files.

The problem is there on mine also. Forget this post look at the next one.
That stripe is too high,
On the other side where it is lower the triangle isn't all there but looks like it would come back up if you moved it up a little. I can only think that moving it down would work.

Ok I found a problem.
I tried just striping the hood and the triangle came up, this is on your 2021 template. It is there and is black, cutting off the red.

Looks like it might be on every layer possibly. Check the next post
There is also a triangle bump out underneath it.
I'm not an expert so it might be getting beyond me.
Here's another image, I'm going to check another template and come back.
I checked the cot template I have, the same thing is on the drivers side with lighting off I believe and not with lighting on, the bump out is there also and on the right side no triangle and no bump out.

So how do i make it so where it isn't cut off, Change layer order?
I found the spot where the problem is and put a pencil block in on the image you put up, you can repair it somehow by getting to the layer or like I did,
I'm putting up 2 images to show you. The second image has an arrow on it where I added the block.
