Good morning,

For as long as I have been painting for this sim I have never been able to "master" placing smaller logos on the quarter panels without some pixel distortion. Can I ask for some tips and tricks other painters may be doing to make theirs so smooth? I am currently using Paintshop Pro 9.

See the example from this screenshot from another painter that posted here at Stunod.

Thank You!

Nope, the bigger the better as long as you resize them then import the logo layer into your paint...

When looking for logos with a google or bing search, use something like "Little Debbie logo png" as your search, then you'll get something that has no background and half your work is done. Note where the logo is actually hosted (not Google or Bing) so you can credit properly...though the truth of it is no matter where you get it, it is the property of the trademark/copyright holder which is usually the manufacturer or parent company of the brand you are working with.

With PSP9.0 always resize your images using Smart Size and lock the aspect ratio. Your resized images will come out with no pixilation using these settings.

I'll echo what was previously mentioned here. The bigger the better. Also, if you can find a PNG or a vector, that's even better, those will usually provide the best logos.

It's better to shrink them by percentage BEFORE you place them as a layer into you paint as opposed to using the sizing in the paint
I'll have to try this out. I never even thought about doing that. I guess you really do learn something new every day lol.

If you have CS6, convert the image to a smart object, then you can resize down without loosing any pixels, watched a vid yesterday on doing that, very neat.
