John Russell (aka Torch-1) for stealing some of his README terms of use :)

Facebook NR2003 TrackBuilders group for their generous feedback.

The NR2003 Community for their assistance, the numerous guides, and dedication to this ancient sim.

I'm not trying to be an arse, but is this more for A.I. watching or actual racing, in other words is the grip level so high to try to replicate current laps times?

Can you be more specific? Which class? The track grip is actually lower to replicate real times (with the AI ratings that I run at 100%). The paint grip is high because it's the longer way around and it's all we've got for NR2003. All grooves present equal lap speeds.

I also have a blast racing it so, no, not just for AI watching. Anyone is free to adjust grip levels as they see fit.

I'm not going to say who or what sites, but many new tracks have the A.I. going 5 to 8 seconds faster than the track record at 100% in Cup. As long as the times are realistic for the sim then you did it right. To many track makers think this 15 year old sim with it's 15 year old physics can mimic todays cars, it can't, the cars are completely different.

Okay, so, the grips aren't too high? Did you even run the track? I'm quite confused now. Adjusting grip to match speeds of today's races still doesn't mean we're mimicking the physics, just the speeds.

Keep in mind track makers can do whatever they want because they're dropping 100 or more hours into creating assets for us to enjoy free of charge. I think we're all open to constructive feedback but if the creator wants a lot of grip we shouldn't complain. Hundreds of thousands of nr2003 racers out there and thousands are looking for something different than the next racer. The great beauty of this game which we'll likely not see for a long time is the moddability of it so we can go in and adjust a track to fit our style. Online racers must also keep this in mind and remain thankful.

Those who follow the forums know who you're talking about and I for one will back him up and support him any day. Like you, I'm sincerely not trying to be an arse. Let's keep an open mind and try to target our feedback as constructive as possible. If you've have more to support what you're referencing about the grip I'm happy to look into it and keep it in mind should there be any future track releases.

Never mind, you didn't even bother reading what I said and jumped to conclusions.

Good luck.

Well I guess I lucked out by precisely following up with your statements then.

With all due respect, your comments were passive aggressive towards other track makers, with intent or not, and I'm simply reminding everyone to keep an open mind and to be respectful; especially when it comes to things we can all control to fit our own liking. No one is to say what is right or not as it's up to the creator to define that for themselves, and hopefully share their work with us. If you already understand that, then it doesn't apply to you. Let's not fill the thread with pointless banter or hypocritical comments that really don't help anyone. Again, if you have something regarding MY grip values please share with detail. It just seems like nothing should have been said to begin with...hence my confusion. I thank you for what I think is your positive appraisal and I accept additional feedback.

Furthermore, should anyone need help tweaking their track.ini to fit their needs I will be available as a resource via pm to help guide them.

ive tried to export a replay but for some reason its in a certain file that 99% of video playback software's wont be able to run or read. I suggest downloading obs studio, fraps or even gameshow to record the screen while the replay is happening or if you want you can send me the video and I can edit into to something really cool as ive been a youtuber editor for 3- 4 years

Thank you all for the kind words (including the file reviewers). There are NO promises, but Chicagoland was the next project in mind.
