most people the paint now days are using 2048x2048 . you might see every now and then a 4096x4096 used

I don't believe there is a limit as to how high you can take the resolution, but the sim was designed in 2002 and the max done back then was 1024X1024. Just remember the more powerful the P.C. the higher the res can be, but there are still people out there running NR2003 on old WinXP machines that can't handle much more then 2048X2048.

I agree....2048 is about the high end of what nr2003 can support and run well...especially on older machines....Plus, if you go higher than 2048 you run into problems with correctly sized logos, congingencies, numbers, and layers....Also, the templates are mostly 2048 so it's the best policy to stick with 2048 which produce nice paints in nr2003...
