I just want to say I love this site, I have been racing sim racing since the early 90s. I have raced full seasons in the following racing sims, GP World Tour, GP 2 and GP3 by Geoff Crammond. NASCAR, NASCAR 2 and most recently NASCAR 3. AS well as Indycar 2.
I have been in many different racing communities based on GP3 Indycar2 and NASCAR 3, I went by the name Phatdaddy,
I am a late comer to NASCAR 2003 having just purchased it last year. I have spent the year getting familiar with the game. I must say it is the best Racing Sim game i have ever raced with. I ran the ARCA and CWTS series last year at 85% moderate damage and won the championship in both. In the winter I ran a Supersprint series and have one race left,. I am currenly in second 4 points down. Last race at New Smyrna.
I am looking forward to the new racing season opening with ARCA next week and GOTS the following week. Will run 90% realistic damage this season.
This winter I also won the Snowball Derby and Speedfest with the LVM2 Mod at 90%. Crashed out of the "Michilin Pilot Series Race" at Daytona RC while leading, Ended up 39. Once again realistic damage 90%
I have painted cars since using the paintkits in both NASCAR2 and Indycar 2. I am using the current GIMP painting program. As soon as I am more confident in using it I will share some.
I am still trying to figure out how to install templates into the game.
Anyway I am glad to be here and look forward to participating in the forums as well as sharing great downloads.
Thanks

Welcome to Stunod Racing, glad you joined us. Need any help, just ask, we like helping people who want to learn stuff instead of just sitting back to let others do it for you.

They are mod specific...you'll have to get new paints for the cars you want to update...such as the Splash n Go MENCS 2019 mod. Then there are larger size templates, mostly 2048 x 2048, which is pretty much the standard now.
I'm assuming that you have updated your game with the 1201 patch so you can see the mod selection screen when you start your game. It's the arrow keys on the bottom of the screen.

I have my game fully moded. I have the MENCS18/19 Supersprints, TPCTT, LVMP2, and Gen 6. What I want to do is put the updated Dodge Charger template in the Gen6 mod. But I don't know which folder to put it in so it shows up in the New car menu.

Updated Charger template.....be more specific, is it a template made for the Gen 6 mod. You can't just put a template in the folder of the mod and have it show up, not how the game works. You have to make a paint scheme on new template, put that in the import/export folder, open game, go to opponent manager, make a new car picking the dodge body, import that new paint onto that. Mods are made with a body done in 3ds max, and are very hard to change them, there's a ton of stuff that needs to be created and coded in order to change a body in the game. For example, last year (or was it 2 years) when the Camaro was first used in the Cup series, people wanted to run it in Gen 6. There isn't a Camaro model in Gen 6 for it, only the Chevy SS model, so people made a new template to go on this body, but it didn't look like a Camaro, it still had the Chevy SS lines and shape. Unless you know how to make a new body and do the coding to get it in the game, your pretty mush stuck with 3rd party templates that go on the old body.
