It was early in high school when my dad got the original NASCAR Racing for our computer and a steering wheel with pedals and I loved it. To be honest I probably spent more time painting cars than playing though and it turned out that experience is what made me realized I should go into graphic design. Those original designs were the first things I ever designed on a computer.
I was fortunate to stumble upon NR2003 when searching "Nascar VR" and finding a video about using Vorp to play NR2003 in VR. That got me really excited and I started looking into NR2003. Got it all installed on my gaming computer and after talking to my brothers and couple of friends, we are going to do a sim season where I broadcast each race so we can all watch it. I'm in the process of painting the cars now. I have done the cars for my sons but still have quite a few more to go so hoping to get them all done by the end of next week so we can start our season. I'll be happy to share them here if anybody else wants to use them and at some point I'd like to start helping others here, just tough to fit even these into trying to keep enough work going.
Anyways, just wanted to say hi and share what I'm working on. Chose the 90s Cup Mod because I absolutely love the 1990 Thunderbird. At some point I'd love to buy one in real life. Here are the cars for my sons going from youngest to oldest(names removed):
And then one for my brother:
Still some things to fix but I'm excited!
