I recently found out how to race online in NR2003. I use TeamSpeak 3 and SMS Lobby V3 (latest version) so when I click on a server, I go to the game, then I go to the server's track, and when I click drive, I driver for about 5 seconds and I am disconnected. This happens almost everytime. Sometimes it's 5 minutes before I am disconnected. HOW DO I FIX THIS!?!?!

Second Question: Are there any NR2003 leagues that run in the day like at 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM?

Using a service like Hamachi or Tunngle, the game can connect through the internet as if it were a LAN server. Still need the IP addresses and everything.

There are tutorials online (like YouTube) for things like this.

Sounds to me like you need an updated core.ini file.

make these changes to your core.ini file and relaunch sms lobby and try again.
net_lan_client_send_every=1 ; Client packet freq on LAN
net_lan_client_send_size=772 ; Client packet size on LAN
net_lan_server_send_every=1 ; Server packet freq on LAN
net_lan_server_send_size=772 ; Server packet size on LAN
net_mdm_client_send_every=1 ; Client packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_client_send_size=772 ; Client packet size on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_every=1 ; Server packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_size=772 ; Server packet size on dialup
net_server_port=0 ; Server port number (0 = default)
net_use_mdm_bandwidth_for_tcp_ip=0 ; Use modem bandwidthfor TCP/IP

Oh If I may? Let's say you got Hamachi and 4 friends. You are racing with 30 AI as well. Fun as hell but.... You will hear your friends complain that they can't see all the cars. You will tell them. Idiots just turn up the View Ahead and Behind in graphics settings. But IT IS NOT THAT. It is actually the size of those NET packages.

mem_client_send_every=1 ; Client packet freq via memory
mem_client_send_size=772 ; Client packet size via memory
mem_server_send_every=1 ; Server packet freq via memory
mem_server_send_size=772 ; Server packet size via memory

I think increasing these to a bigger number.... Ive done it sooo long ago I forgot exactly... But I think double or triple the value fixes the missing AI issue for the people that join you.

Still doesn't work! :( GRRR

Speeds look good so should not be your connection

Just grasping at straws here but, did you load the 1.2.0.1 update after you installed NR2003?

What is your OS? What is your CPU speed? How much ram is installed on you computer? How much free space on your harddrive?

Computer should be adequate even with the low free disk space.
Have you updated the video card drivers?
Did you install from an original disk or from a download?
Do you run using an original disk or using a NOCD exe? (If you are, what is the size of the file?)
Have you set NR2003, SMS Lobby, and TS3 to run as administrator?
Did you turn DEP off?

Anyone else have any ideas as to what questions need to be asked?

At this point, all I have left for you is:
1. Use control panel (or dedicated uninstaller) to uninstall NR2003, SMS Lobby, and TeamSpeak3
2. Delete all associated folders
3 run CCleaner (https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download) to remove junk files and to clean the registry until it no longer finds problems
4. Restart computer
5. Install NR2003
6. Install 1.0.2.1 Patch
7. Install NOCD patch
8. Install SMS Lobby
9. Install TS3
10. Install a mod that will be used on SMS without a password
11. Install a track that will be used with the above mod
<Edited to remove duplicated step>
13. Set NR2003, SMS Lobby , and TS3 to run as administrator
14. Restart Computer
15. Launch NR2003 offline and make sure it works
17. Launch NR2003 and connect to SMS Lobby and test.
18. Celebrate (Hopefully) d;^)
