Have any of you run races longer than 25%, and if so, how did it go?

I just did an 80 lap race at Indy (50% of the Cup distance) on 100% difficulty, and since I figured out that the fuel window is about 36-38 laps, I decided to try to make it on 1 stop

Its working well, and with about 15 to go, I'm comfortably in the top 5, and I'm the only one who has enough fuel left to make it to the end

Then, on lap 69 (nice lol) I get loose coming out of Turn 2 and destroy my car, finishing 39th out of 40.
I feel your pain - 15 to go at Daytona, I had field covered... then I bounce car off turn 2 apron with the whole field behind me - It wasn't a pretty thing to see. Finished 25th. :closedtongue:

The backmarkers do become an issue in longer races, especially at plate tracks. It AI just don't know how to deal with slower traffic. Slower cars who are multiple laps down hold up the leaders and/or cause a big pile up.

I did at least 1 at Kentucky with the CWS15 2019 Trucks with Tyler Ankrum at 50%, managed to win the pole, dominate, and win the race.
