Hey guys,
I haven't played GTR2 or rFactor 1 in a long time, so I decided to give it a go recently and when I did, I noticed the graphics were terrible. A lot of "jaggies" on street lines, fences, cars, etc. and just altogether bad graphics in both sims.
The weird thing is, I use to play these sims almost daily a few months ago and the graphics were smooth as silk! I never uninstalled them, they just sat "dormant" while I played NR2003 for a while.
When I decided to play them recently, all of a sudden, they look like crap.
I have not changed graphics drivers or anything like that. I haven't changed anything. Just installed the usual Windows 10 updates when prompted.
Not sure what happened, but I also cannot remember what all of the settings should be in and out of game.
What settings are you guys running? In game config. and also Nvidia inspector? What do you recommend for my system specs?
AMD X4 860 Quad Core 3.70
Windows 10 - 64 bit
8 Gigs RAM
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti

Thanks

Use the nvidia tool and the nr2003 graphics video by TheBenCrazy to set both sims up...obviously you dont have the initial settings for those sims but the rest of the settings can be set

Thanks. By "Nvidia Tool", I assume you are referring to the default Nvidia Control Panel settings? Thankfully, after posting this thread, I made progress last night. I was able to find and import my saved settings for both sims into Nvidia inspector. That seemed to fix the problem. I do have one other question on that topic....when using Nvidia Inspector, is it necessary to also change the settings in the Nvidia control panel or is that done automatically when you save your settings in N Inspector?

Awkward, I see that no one has responded to your successful navigation of this issue.

So I will.

Glad you were able to have a moment of brilliant inspiration and reach an end to your quandary. Impressive piece of work sir or madam.
