Duplicating Track with Different Name

Hi all,

I've duplicated my stock Daytona track as I want to have a play with some of the values to see what effect they have. I have chaned the folder name to daytonaspeed. However, when I try and load the track, I get the 'could not load the track' error. What, aside from what I've already changed, do I need to change?

are you already rename your folder besides .dat and .cam

Name of folder must exactly match the x of the .dat file

Yep, the folder is called 'daytonaspeed'

I don't see either the ptf or sbx file in the folder- where can I find them?

They will exist if you have unpacked them.

Just unpack with WinMip. Then the files will appear inside Unpack.

Be careful when doing this with some tracks that already contain the .ptf in the main directory, because sometimes inside Unpack it will appear with a different name or even the same name but a completely different version within the game. Yes, it happened to me when I was learning to use the Sandbox.

Unpack the .dat file with winmip and rename the .ptf file
