I got it and messed with it a little. First impressions, reminds me of NASCAR Heat 5 in look and layout. Maybe I'm just old but I'm not thrilled with the UI being based on a game controller and not just being able to use a mouse for menu selections. I use a Logitech G27 so I don't have all the fancy game controller buttons like a G29. The feel of the wheel seems to lag for me, so the car tends to weave because there's a lag between wheel input and car movement, but for now I'll attribute that to having to spend more time dialing in all the wheel settings. I'm also not happy that when you're driving in the driver's seat view and want to look left or right it takes you to an external left or right view with external sounds and not like just turning your head, the way it is in NR2003. Also. I use a triple monitor setup and sometimes it only displays on the center monitor. It takes some jumping around the menus to get all three screens to start displaying. Might be the game or it could just be my setup. Another peeve, I don't like having all the things like the track map, lap times, etc. on screen while driving. Having not had a lot of time with it, I'm not sure if these things can be turned off or not. Next are some of the adjustments for the AI cars as well as yours. You can adjust how much force it takes to spin out the AI, in addition to how well they can recover. You can adjust how the draft affects either superspeedway tracks or all the other tracks. There are some other adjustments that I can't recall at the moment, but my first thought is "Why do I have to adjust all that? Shouldn't it be built into the physics of everything, so that the cars behave as they would in real life and not need to be tweaked to spin out more or less, or the draft effect is the way it's supposed to be and not need to be adjusted more or less?" I don't know. As of now, my first impression is it looks and feels very arcade like and not very much like a simulation. It seems more like a console game adapted for the PC and maybe that was their intention. As if they're saying, "If you want a simulation, use iRacing. We're not going to put out a sim that's going to compete with ourselves." I've never tried iRacing, so I don't really know how it is or feels. Again, these are first impressions as I have not spent a lot of time with it yet to get a thorough feel for it. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps.
