Dover... I have some mixed results at Dover as far as Online racing goes...

I hate the place.

IF I could get sandbox working, I'd make a 1 mile version of the track (I was working on when my computer crashed) because I really dislike the "too short, too narrow" 0.975 mile NR2003 version. I had one in beta, needed to move some stuff and make new .lp files but it died with my computer... :-(

Dover and Michigan are two NR2003 tracks I know of where Papyrus turned the "tracks are measured 15 feet from the wall" lie into a virtual reality.

I can't recall the name of the guy, but I talked with the Dover GM years ago and he told me that white line around the apron is exactly 1 mile long so I made a 1 mile version and lap times were dead on. Running the "Harry Gant" line was possible and it seemed huge, like the "Monster Mile" it was nicknamed (before the concrete, Fox and the rest of the BS).

See for yourself?

Take a car, ride the white line around the apron at 60 MPH and it would take 60 seconds IF it the game track was 1 mile but instead it takes 58.512 seconds, which equatest to 0.9752 miles. That's why lap times at Dover are always much faster than reality.

Michigan is too short but I don't recall exactly how short. I'd made a 2 mile version but again, computer crash wiped me out. :-(

Either way, like or not, Have fun!! ;-)

Congrats to Mick on bringing home the hardware tonight in the Delta Sim Cup GN69st race at North Wilkesboro!
I think all of the Stunod boys ran in podium territory at some point during the race, so a big Shout Out to everyone for putting in a great effort.

Great job Mick!

Trae probably won't get it on the server until tonight, he's one of those "normal" people with a job and all, LOL!

Here's the track but I do believe Trae said last night that Ziggy cooked up some changes...so we have to wait until that version is up

This is the track that will be on the server in a bit. This version is for offline use, with a 70 MPH speed limit. Online will have the pit road limit raised for 'no limit' green flag pitting.

Race weather is set for the 1970 event, around 60 degrees and clear.

Have fun!

My apologies.

I had attached my 'test' version of the track so make sure to get the real version from the link above.

Tires have more grip and less heat so adjust accordingly.

Server is up with race settings.

Have fun!!
