Looking Good!

Your side Mobil 1 needs to be all black. Plus Checkers on the left side:

Back after a lil' break with a car from NASCAR 08, Alvin Shields Lawless Root Beer Dodge. This is one of my favorite fantasy schemes from that game, and I'm happy I now have a rendition of it for NR2003. This was a big effort in scratch making, as only the contigs and a few things on the template come from pre-existing sources.
This car was done on my new Dodge template, which I'm very happy with.

EDIT: I did the #107 from NASCAR 07 as well, as it is the same base scheme, just different number.

Back with more NNC07 cars (can you tell I love this mod?)

Kurt Busch 2007 Miller Lite Dodge.
2-Kurt-Busch-Miller-Lite.png

This car had custom metallic overlay, most of it came from my Cup_05 rendition. Not based on any particular race like my OG Cup cars, but fun to do nonetheless. A simple, smart looking car that is a reliable quick job.

12 Ryan Newman 2007 Alltell Dodge
12-Ryan-Newman-Alltel.png

Yet another easy car to add to the field. The blue on this might be wrong, but I've seen depending on light sources anything from a darker blue to a pale blue, so I went with what I think is a middle ground. Another quick, bread and butter paint scheme that I've gotten down to a science.

Today we have a pair for Dave Blaney's, one real, one fictional.

2007 Dave Blaney #22 Caterpillar Toyota
22-Dave-Blaney-Caterpillar.png

Another one of my "bread and butter" paint schemes. Simple, effective, sharp, what else can I say?

2007 Dave Blaney Bad Boy Mowers Toyota *fictional*
22-Dave-Blaney-Bad-Boy.png

Now this car I actually have some stuff to say about. In late 2008, Caterpillar pulled their logos off of the car, and Bad Boy Mowers finished out the year at Phoenix and Homestead. So I took that car, and modified it via putting CAT logos and the 2007 grille tape and contigs.

I'm back with some more, 2 cars fresh out of the oven!

2007 David Stremme Coors Light Dodge
40-David-Stremme-Coors-Light.png

This is a scheme I have long loathed, but when browsing images for a good side image to trace, I found a decal sheet with an unobstructed mountain. I traced it, saved it, and now this car should be a breeze in the future, since the mountain was the one thing that made it such a hassle.

27 Mike Skinner Bad Boy Mowers 2007 Fictional
27-Mike-Skinner-Bad-Boy.png

A simple retool of the #22. Swap the numbers, remove the Caterpillar logos, BOOM, we have a race ready competition spec machine.

Back with a personal car this time, the 2006 TPG Engines & Transmissions Dodge Charger using my classic #75. Basically a reinterpretation of my personal modified but put on a cup car.

Also cooked up a fictional teammate to run with, the venerable Rick Forest in the Fox2 Collision Dodge. Another re-imagining of an old scheme from a while a go.

I'm back with another attempt at a Fictional series, this time inspired by a mix of Trans-Am and BTCC, but on Ovals.

Introducing, the 1990 TPG Pro Racing Series

Formed in the late 1970's from a group of regional Stock Car series, the TPG Pro Racing series was the brainchild of Burt Thomas, Bryan Prattner, and William Gouh, who wished to create a National series for American Sedans and Pony Cars. Using an advanced tube frame chassis as the basis, the series became renowned for it's close racing, with a variety of cars able to win on any given week.

So here we go on this journey into an alternate racing timeline.

Skoal Bandit-James Baretta Motorsports

One of the premier teams in the series, James Baretta Motorsports has regularly been in the championship hunt, despite having not won overall since 1985. With long time sponsor Skoal backing the cars for the 8th straight year, the team is poised to make another title run.

0-Benson-Malloy-Skoal.png

Benson Malloy has been a regular presence since his debut in 1986, and is looking for his first title in the series. He has the chops, and many say it is a matter of time for the 27 year old to take it all.

1-Jake-Gardner-Skoal.png

On the other side of the spectrum is the veteran Jake Gardner, a 2 time series champion, but titleless since 1985. Despite being 42 years old, Gardner is still more than capable of holding his own against the younger generation, and having been running in the series since its inception, he still knows a few tricks that the young-in's can learn from.

After a bit of a hiatus for mental and creative reasons, here is the next set of cars.

Team Marlboro Racing/Brent Hodges Motorsports

A big time operation owned by businessman and former racer Brent Hodges, this team has had success in everything from open wheelers to sports cars, and their stock car program is equally as formidable. The team has a long history of pushing the boundaries, and the limits of the rulebooks in search of the latest unfair advantage.

70-Butch-Moore-Marlboro.png

Ask any driver who the hardest driving guy on the racetrack is and the likely answer is Butch Moore. The driver from South Carolina is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers, and has had more than his fair share of run ins on and off the track. This hard nosed, rough riding attitude has made him a divisive figure with the fans, a love him or hate him figure that always commands the spectators attention. As an added bonus, he also smokes team sponsor Marlboro's cigarettes while in the car, giving him the nickname Smokey B.

71-Paul-Kellerman-Marlboro.png

Canadian Paul Kellerman comes from a storied open wheel background, being a 3 time Indy 500 winner and twice champion, alongside a win in the Daytona 24 hours to boot. But over the past 2 years he has been focusing on the rising TPG Pro Racing series as the latest chase to fill his trophy case, and despite no wins as of yet, Kellerman has finished top 10 in points both seasons. Could he finally break through this year and find himself in victory lane?

(Authors note: If you couldn't tell by the team description, inclusion of an open wheel driver, and the sponsor, this is meant to be a parody of Team Penske. Also this will not be the last Tobacco sponsored ride either.)

Taking a small detour, here is another personal car, this time for NNC07. I went with Coca Cola, my go to choice when I have soda, as a sponsor, and nicked some stuff from other cars for congruency.

Not necessarily NR2003, but here is the first paint on my new 3d model. Billy Venturini 1987 ARCA car, blue variant. It doesn't have the hood logo as I can't find a good enough reference, so I just kept it as is.
