So I decided to complete the late 90's, which includes my most ambitious modification yet.

First up the original bubble Taurus, which took a fair bit of greenhouse reworking, a nose job, and the bumper ends being curved a little.
Side Profile.png

And finally, my Magnum Opus, the current pinnacle of my bastardizations, the 1996-1997 Ford Thunderbird.
Side View.png
Where do I start for the modifications done to this? I think only the side panels were unmodified, as I squared off literally everything. And somehow it works, and even more surprisingly, the mapping isn't completely off kilter, just slightly warped in certain areas.

I have some new Camaro entries into my current set. Haven't started on any 'Stangs as of yet.

First up are some RCR Start & Park/Research & Development cars.

Rodney Combs, who ran a R&D car for Childress in 1988

Jimmy Hensley, who filled in for Earnhardt at Martinsville in 1990 but never started the race

and finally Kirk Shelmerdine, longtime Earnhardt crew chief who ran an extra Childress car at Texas World in the early 80's.

Next up is Jay Sauter, in another Goodwrench machine.

Next up are cars for Bahari Racing owned by Chuck Rider.

Michael Waltrip has two schemes, my take on the iconic Pennzoil car, as well as All Pro sponsorship

and finally a extra car for Ronnie Silver, a BGN driver who ran a handful of races for the team in 1990, one of which he actually did carry All Pro sponsorship.

Some new templates are up for viewing.

1994-2000 Dodge Avenger
1994-2000 Dodge Avenger.png
Some basic window reworking was done, as well as a copious shade job. Other than that pretty straight forward.

1989-1994 Chevrolet Lumina
1989-1994 Chevrolet Lumina.pngYes, you may have already guessed I'm a crazy sun-uva-350-small-block, but again somehow does the trick. The nose shading took a lot of reworking to get the right effect, but it works. I also added window blackouts to reshape it more Lumina-esque.

So it's been a bit, and I have cycled through several project ideas, few of which I have kept to. But now I'm back on NNC07 with 2005 cars, now with shiny new 2048x2048 templates.

I will preface this by making something clear up front, these are NOT meant to be 100% accurate unlike my previous projects. I started this long trek due to me wanting a full field for my Mock Season I have been slowly chipping away at for the past 3 or so years after many false starts, redos, and cancellations.

But I realized that trying to be 100% accurate was hurting my progress and burning me out, as was my rapid changing around of mods, years, etc. My pursuit of perfection had gotten in the way of actually making progress on the end goal, the Mock Season itself, so I'm making a few alterations to this project.

1. No race accurate grills/tapes. These cars are meant to be somewhat generic and interchangable.

2. A few missing logos, and compromises are OK. It is more important for the Mock Season project that I can fill the field rather than chase perfection. Doesn't mean I won't put in any effort, but certain things on part time/one off cars and small teams will be brushed aside in the name of progress.

3. No "special" schemes, or atleast very few. These include movie and video game tie in promotions. If they are easy to do or a slight alterication of an existing scheme, they will be considered, but no M&Ms Star Wars cars or 2005 Batman/Superhero cars.

4. There WILL be fictious rides, and driver/paintscheme/number/sponsor combos that are innacurate, as again, my priority is having a field of cars to race rather than a race by race pixel perfect archive.

So with that out of the way, here are the first Busch cars of this new project.

Frank Cici Racing - Chevrolet

#34 Dollar General - Randy Lajoie/Todd Bodine

This is the primary car for the team, will primarily be ran by Randy Lajoie but as in real life, Bodine will likely get some starts later in the year.

A second car for the team, IRL it only ran Bristol, but performance of the #34 pending, might run anywhere from 5 to 7 events.

I love these already. Especially the Avenger!
Looking forward to seeing more and definitely painting on these if these are released.

Been a LONG while hasn't it? Don't worry, I've still been cooking with NR2003. Here are some of my current roster of NNC07 templates(mainly the ones mostly finalized)

2003-2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
2003-2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.png
This has been used earlier in the showroom, and has had only minor tweaks since.

2005-2006 Dodge Charger
2005-2006 Dodge Charger.png
Again, an older template design, still does the job well.

2007-2010 Dodge Avenger
2007-2010 Dodge Avenger.png
Here is something out of the ordinary - a Dodge Avenger Gen 4. This has actual grills like the other gen 4's, and was a fun experiment to do.

2009-2012 Ford Fusion
2009-2012 Ford Fusion.png
Pretty standard fare replica template, the Fusion does what it needs to.

EA Sports Generic
2007-2010 EA Sports Generic.png
Finally the Generic Gen 4 from EA Sports NASCAR 09.

New project alert! Back to the year 2006, with a mod based around the year 2000. Yes, I am crazy, and no I don't need help x'D

2006 Kasey Kahne Dodge Dealers - Evernham Motorsports Dodge Charger
9 Kasey Kahne Dodge Dealers.png
2006 was Kasey Kahne's true breakout year - 6 poles, 6 wins, 12 top 5's and 19 top 10's. The only thing keeping him out of true championship contention was a slight lack of consistency, especially in the back half of the season, but you could be assured the #9 crew and CC Kenny Francis could unload anywhere and be lightning quick out of the gate.

Here is a boat load of cars for your viewing pleasure

2006 Scott Riggs Valvoline - Valvoline Evernham Motorsports Dodge Charger
10 Scott Riggs Valvoline.png
Scott Riggs first season with Evernham Motorsports was his best on record. Despite missing the Daytona 500, he scored a pole at the Coke 600 and almost won the same weekend. 1 top 5 and 8 top 10's and a 20th place points finish rounded out a season i which Riggs showed plenty of potential, which was sadly never truly realized.

2006 Jeremy Mayfield Dodge Dealers - Evernham Motorsports Dodge Charger
19 Jeremy Mayfield Dodge Dealers.png
Oh dear poor Mayfield. Coming off of back to back chase births, and the rest of Evernham on the upswing, you'd think 2006 would be another good year, but it was anything but. The #91 R&D team from 2005 was given to Mayfield, and his cars to Evernham development driver Erin Crocker, if the rumors spread around have legitimacy. Whatever struck the #19 team, Mayfield was out by mid season, after calling out Evernham's relationship with aforementioned with Erin Cricker, who would later become his future wife. Further rumors state the disarray caused by Mayfield may have led to his later "drug suspension," with some saying it might have been an inside job between NASCAR and Evernham, but solid proof on that front is hard to come by, and is again mostly just hearsay.

2006 Kurt Busch Miller Lite - Penske Racing South Dodge Charger
2 Kurt Busch Miller Lite.png
Kurt Busch's first season with the famed Blue Deuce saw some fairly immediate success, with 6 poles, and a win early on at Bristol. But Kurt wasn't quite able to translate saturday speed to sunday success as much as he would have liked, as Penskes aggressive engine program favored single lap speed over long run consistancy. 7 top 5's and 12 top 10's round off the statline, along with 3 DNF's, and an average finish of 19.4 compared to a 10.4 starting average.

2006 Ryan Newman Alltell - Penske Racing South Dodge Charger
12 Ryan Newman Alltel.png
The Rocket Man suprisingly didn't see too much in the way of his usual Qualifying heroics, with only 2 Poles on the year. An 11.6 average start does signal that his Q-trim performance was still stellar, just not quite to the level he was known for. 2 top 5's and 7 top 10's signafied a season where most of the races were spent going backwards with a dissapointing 20.6 being all Newman had to show for it.

Note, several fixes have been made since the screenshot renders were taken, including colored wheels for the Penske cars, missing headlight/taillight decals on the #19 and eaarlier #9 car, and the removal of McDonalds from the decklid of the #19
