I've been tossing around the idea of putting together a mock series that I would put together and host on here, with some added commentary, almost like a diary really. For the most part, it will be statistical posts about what happened, who won, what are the stats like, but it will also be centered around my personal car, currently the #12 car in the Xfinity Series, which is going to be a full time ride. The series will touch on Junior's last hurrah (I'll be racing some races as him for the Monster Energy Series), as well as other storylines that develop, and contribute to the 2018 Silly Season. I'll do my best to keep things realistic, with a few changes regarding rides that aren't completely set for the 2018 season. You will notice different tracks being added to the Xfinity and CWTS schedules to liven them up a bit and extend them.

It should be noted that none of the car sets I will be using will be available for download for the simple fact of, none of these cars, save a few, were painted by me, and it'd be wrong for me to compile them, zip them up, and make them available for download without authorization from the creator.

I'll be using NRatings to complie ratings for all cars used in these series, and will be using realistic lineups for races that have happened thus far in the season, only qualifying for the Daytona 500 will change. If a race had 36 cars in it, you will see four fictional rides (of real drivers) added into the mix to fill out the field.

Lastly, as I mentioned, I will be racing "some" races as Junior in his final year. If I am not racing in the actual race, I will extend the field to 41, and have a start and park car entered in order to monitor the race going on.

Speaking of the race going on, I will be adding in stages, honoring the current format used by NASCAR this year. I'll be essentially racing 3 segments as their own races, tabulating the finish results, and porting them over to the following stage as the qualifying lineup. If a car is eliminated, they will be removed from the field for future stages. Points will be tabulated via excel spreadsheet in the same way that they are in the real world. I'll post those results after every race.

As I sit in my DR's office, typing this now, once I am able, I will post the rosters for each of the MENCS, Xfinity, and CWTS seasons for the upcoming mock season. Presenting to you: The 2017 NASCAR Season, the Way We (Cutch_22) Saw It

As Heath Ledger's Joker once said, "And, here. We. Go"

Presented below is the roster that I'll be using for the upcoming 2017 Monster Energy Series Mock Season.

Italicized drivers will be splitting the schedule with another driver on the same car. Drivers with a Plus/Minus symbol are drivers who are competing on a limited schedule, and will only be added to the lineup if the field is below 40 cars (using realistic qualifying results). Lastly. drivers with an asterisk next to their names will be competing for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year. Stay Tuned for the Xfinity and CWTS rosters (CWTS still needs finalized, I made some driver errors in pulling info from Jayski's website).

And now, introducing, the 2017 Xfinity Series Roster! Screenshot_13.png

What you may notice first off, is that there is a fictional driver behind that #12 Snap-On Ford Mustang, and that would be me. I'll be racing the entire Xfinity schedule behind the wheel of the #12. As a backstory, my driver was discovered by Brad Keselowski after he went all in on himself, putting his entire life savings into purchasing used BKR equipment to compete in the CWTS. Eventrually, after wrecking out of a late season race, junking the purchased equipment, I was given the keys to the #2 truck for the remainder of the season, and found my way into the #12 for this Xfinity Season.

This spreadsheet is a bit easier to read than the MENCS one is. Bolded drivers will be competing for an Xfinity Championship, the italicized drivers will be racing a limited schedule/not eligible for the championship.

And now we shift focus to the 2017 Camping World Truck Series Roster

    Screenshot_14.png

Drivers listed in here are the same as the Xfinity series, bolded will be competing for the championship, italicized will be competing in limited races. This roster is subject to change based on possibly additional driver completing one-offs.

Next up will be the schedules. While the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series schedules will remain unchanged, NASCAR will be using the Camping World Truck Series as a guinea pig, adding back some tracks that have previously been used, which have been bought up by a new track management team, focused on modernizing relic tracks to be used for racing in today's world.

With the upcoming Mock NASCAR Season upcoming, we pause to take a look at the schedules for the upcoming season. While the Monster Energy Series Schedule and the Comcast Xfinity Series will remain virtually unchanged, The Camping World Truck Series will be heading to four "new-to-you" tracks which are apart of a track rehabilitation program that is being sponsored by NASCAR to bring back some of the tracks that have gone without use on any of the major circuits (or any circuit for that matter) in recent years. With the Advance Auto Parts Clash quickly approaching, wait no longer, here are the schedules that will be used!

As you can see, a second Daytona weekend has been added to the Camping World Truck Series schedule, along with Rockingham Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, and Nazereth Speedway. NASCAR is hoping with the success of these tracks, that more grassroots efforts can be made to add more tracks that have since gone unused by the "Major Three".

The next update will consist of the qualified entry list for the 2017 Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona!

Here we are, once more at the beginning of another NASCAR season, this time, brought to you by Monster Energy! Last year's pole winners/previous winners of the clash/Chase Participants/transferred eligibility participants are ready to go for a 24 lap go-around at Daytona International Speedway to unofficially kick off the 2017 Season! Below are this year's participants:

Dale Earnhardt Jr, impressed with his sub's performance, has awarded his starting position to Alex Bowman. Also getting awarded positions were Danica Patrick and Daniel Suarez.

*Note, I'll be competing as Alex Bowman in this race
