Chastain wrecked him, AJ might have bumped him but didn't wreck him, Just like the bump and run at Martinsville.

Chastain didn't wreck AJ he just spun him on the last lap. You guys act like no driver has ever spun somebody out on the last lap of a race.

That's the answer, he spun him, he didn't tap AJ or bump him out of the way, he intentionally spun him. That's what I remember seeing.

And in all your years of watching racing you've never seen that before? Incredible!!

No.
Is this a bump? Yes.
Is this a dump? Yes.
Is this hideously heinous? No.

Chastain on Almendinger is a dump and is bad form but it isn't as bad as say Harvick on Elliott at the Roval last year. I doubt that the intent was to wreck Almendinger but merely to be rid of him.
This also wasn't unprovoked, given that only 5 corners before hand, the situation had been reversed albeit without the consequence.

Almendinger has cause to be mad but I don't think that this is a pot boiler.

I think chastain had no intent to wreck aj, but the bump sent aj into bowman which caused aj to lose out. if bowman isn't there, aj saves it. It's not bowman's fault, just an unfortunate circumstance.

Man, I am not sure we all watched the same thing.
What I saw

1. AJ had the line when he got under him. They made contact. It wasn't anything egregious.
2. Chastain had a huge run when he got behind Allmendinger and Bowman went to the oustide. He kept it in the gas for his momentum, all while giving AJ a shove that he knew AJ would have to slow down for.

I don't think Chastain was attempting to dump dinger as much as he was just forcing him into a corner at a high speed. Dinger almost saved it before he pancaked Bowman and spun around. Maybe AJ saves it if Bowman isn't there, maybe not. But in all the years I've been watching racing on all levels, this was on the weakest levels of a bad dump/wreck.

I listen to a lot of radio during the day...and Dave Moody constantly complains that "rubbin isn't racin"

yet the drivers say it is. I saw some rubbin. I saw some racing. And I thought all 3 shows this weekend were decent.

If Bowman isn't there, AJ gets a tankslapper and then comes in second.

Actually, Bowman made up a chain of time because Melon Man and Dinger were already fisticuffing five corners previous.

don’t get me wrong, i don’t think what ross did was right. i think ajs move was right in the fact that he waited till ross left a gap and he snuck in. ross however decided to create his own gap which i did not like
