Carset(s) crashes game when I click Drive

Put together a roster using the MENCup18 carsets by the talented @JacobTB_14 and it makes the game consistently crash on all tracks.

Important notes:
  • Did not have this problem before adding the carsets. Mod runs fine with vanilla cars and my personal cars.
  • Roster included StarCom Racing cars from NNRacing. Running a roster with these cars does not crash the game unless Jacob's cars are included.
  • Roster included a MENCS mockup of Natalie Decker's ARCA machine. Running a roster with this car does not crash the game unless Jacob's cars are included.
  • Allows for track selection, but extremely long loading time occur afterwards and the game crashes after clicking drive.
Assets involved:
  • All three of Jacob's 2018 carsets.
Computer specs:
  • Intel i7 7700HQ @ 3.8GHz
  • NVidia GeForce GTX1050Ti
  • 8GB DDR4 RAM

Applied update. No longer crashes upon clicking "drive," however, now we have a different problem.

  • Chance for all HUD elements and car to be solid black
  • Chance for car to be rendered "transparent" showing details of the car not normally seen unless cut away during damage repair at a pit stop
  • Chance for track elements/3DOs to flicker rapidly in and out of existence
  • Chance for major other graphical errors (UI not changing/responding after leaving qualifying session)
  • Frame rate drops to near-unplayable levels (10-15 FPS on a machine like this is only "acceptable" for ARMA 3, where everyone's machine basically gets that unless running a supercomputer)
Again, it only happens with these cars. Would provide screenshots but game does not want to cooperate with that idea.

Make sure the cars are compressed in Winmip. This 15 year old game can't support a whole field of 2048 cars without them being compressed.
