Any tips for making paints to the cars

Hello everybody, i really want to make paints for my NR2003 to missing cars of 2006 Busch Series like Donnie Neuenberger and Joe Nemechek because i am not a expert to the paints, have any tips to beginners?, i have GIMP 2.10.14
