A Yahoo! Second Image Tutorial!

49253

This tutorial was a request! If done right it will add an additional image below the big image on your product pages!

This is only for the Yahoo! Store Editor V3.

You also must know how to edit RTML for this tutorial.

1. First we want to do

Now you must remember, if you don't have a click to enlarge programmed into your store already you will need that first. It will make this tutorial a lot easier to complete!

Login into your store manager >> Catalog Manager>> Manage Your Tables>> default-table

You will need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, and click on the "edit" button on the right hand side of the "Custom Fields".

Now, scroll to the bottom of that page and click the blue link the says " Add Another Custom Field". Change the name to second-image and change the type to image.

Click update, and then save on the top of the page in the middle.

2. Edit the template

Now we go back to the store template editor!

Store Manager>> Store Editor>> Storetemplate.>> Templates

We will be editing the image template for the this one so, find that and click on it! Now click on the third "TAG-WHEN" command and scroll to the top and click "new" create a LINEBREAK and paste it After. Now making the RTML look like the image below!

second-image1.jpg
Lightbox Version

** Please note that you will have to changed the link type on the 4th line down.

second-image2.jpg
Standard Yahoo Version

Once, you have changed the size of the image in the RTML you might want to play with it abit to make sure that you have it the way you like it.

For now on there there will be a upload image on the bottom of your edit or create items! That should just about do it!

I hope you have successfully added this feature to your Yahoo! store. I no longer practice this code and this is a unmaintained tutorial. Use at your own risk. I worked hard on figuring out this code many years ago and didn't want these tutorials to go to waste.
