No.
Nascar moving the numbers forwards.

Gee, I have no idea what that would look like at all.

Hopefully it's just moving the number forward. I saw some concepts of what it could look like and they look great. But NASCAR can still find some way to ruin it.

As I was saying...
I kind of like the thought of Trackhouse running #99 and #1 next year

This leaves open the question of where Kurt Busch goes. Teammate to Bubba Wallace at 23XI? Do we even know for sure that 23XI is expanding next year?

Nothing confirmed yet, but 23XI Racing's expansion probably depends on if they could secure a second charter. As for the driver situation, Kurt Busch is the apparent frontrunner, as 23XI wants a veteran driver who could build the program and mentor Wallace.

If that report is correct then #42 disappears.

Also re 23XI, if Kurt Busch is contracted for them, them he'd be in an unchartered car; possibly running #32 or #45.

The number on the Next Gen car will be moved forward from its normally centered position. The Next Gen car features a smaller quarter panel, therefore impacting space available for sponsors. Moving the number forward will allow more space for logos.

In other words, it still looks normal to me; and like a bunch of touring cars.

I believe that's why they did away with the contigs in that position...these numbers were always gonna be there...I called it last year...

@Rollo75 the touring car look is what they're after...more roadies, street circuits, they have always tried to be something besides an oval series

No way did NASCAR just give 23XI a new charter. Imagine teams paying millions for those and then NASCAR just giving one to Michael Jordan for free. No way. It has to be coming from RWR or something.

Nascar needs to just repo them, auction them off, and RWR gets 75% of the earnings and be done with this. Tired of rolling chicanes.

75% of the earnings?

You'd send out a market signal that a charter is a bad investment; which is subject to the plenary autocracy of the organisation?

On what basis would anyone think about buying into the sport again? You've just informed them that they'll be arbitrarily diddled out of 25% of all future revenue that they might have made.
