No.
Am I led to believe that Dow Chemicals has had some sort of unexplained fall out with Richard Childress Racing and the red Dow diamond won't be appearing on the cars for the remainder of 2019?

Or is this like DuPont and the Axalta thing?

Axalta is the old DuPont Automotive Finishes. DuPont sold them off and the company had to take on a new name since it was no longer a part of DuPont. That’s why DuPont stopped being on the 24 car.

This is what I was hinting at.

"The Dow Chemical Company" is a subsidiary of Dow Inc. which is a DJIA component.

Is this a symptom that Dow Chemicals is to be spun out of Dow Inc, or is this just bad blood because Austin Dillon is underwhelming the sponsor's expectations?

I don't know if that's what's going on here. Usually the way contracts are written nowadays the new company would still likely have to honor that commitment. Like in the case of Axalta, before it was officially called Axalta the car for awhile just said Cromax Pro on it.

From what I found out doing some reading, Dupont and Dow merged a few years ago and so basically what was the main company of Dow is now Dupont. In April this year, they did spin off Dow Inc. into a new company. That company is what owns the Dow Chemical Company.

So it's possible that maybe "old Dow" (now Dupont) was the ones really doing the sponsoring and not the "new Dow" (Dow Inc.). And so if that's the case, maybe Dupont doesn't want to be a part of NASCAR sponsorship so they ended it.

Likely it's just simply something going on behind the scenes that we as fans aren't seeing yet.

+1 this
That sounds sensible.

+1 always this

15% has fallen off the share price since March; citing the tariff war with China and explosions in Argentina.

I work as an accountant; our tax year in Australia runs from 1 July - 30 June, so that means that I'm starting to do 2018/19 tax returns. That also means that I get to look at dividend notices. One of our clients holds Dow shares; which is why I'm yet again brought back here.

This whole thing got weirder:

Today’s announcement completes our first step toward creating three strong, independent growth companies...
- 1st Apr (not a joke)

Those three companies are basically...
- Dow Inc.
- Corteva Agriscience
- DuPont

Which actually means there is a remote possibility of Austin Dillon running a DuPont scheme, if all the chips fell that way. This whole thing is a horse tornado.

The livery that never was:

“Slayer’s brand image and beliefs and Rick Ware Racing and our long time partners’ image and beliefs do not align.”

You're not hardcore (No ,you're not hardcore) unless you live hardcore... and the legend of Rick Ware Racing was not hardcore.

Mario Andretti's First Career F1 Victory??

Say what now?

They didn't go with the day-glo orange-red which he won the 1969 Indy 500 in. They didn't go with his metallic blue scheme that he won the 1967 Daytona 500 in. They didn't go for a black and gold scheme per his 1978 Formula One World Championship; nor his 12 Hours of Sebring, nor his three IndyCar championships.

Instead they've gone for a less famous scheme, in an otherwise dud season for him.
And a Ferrari no less.

15-Davison-Throwback-1.jpg

Oh interesting.

James Davison's throwback scheme was for Dick Johnson's three rides in 1990. I am slightly disappointed that he didn't go with Kermit or a Tru-Blu car. If Logano can do an F1 throwback, why not.

Did Rick Ware do this to annoy Rog Penske?
