2018 MENCS Schemes on GTP Community Carset

Did this with a friend back in 2008-2009 and they looked very sharp...


That time we did them all on the Toyota, this time I think we'll use all four models..with the fourth model being for historical Nascar/fictional Dodge just to let folks be creative...

So the model conversion will be this:
-Toyota=Toyota (kind of a no brainer there)
-Ford=Mazda (Ford and Mazda have a historic relationship so...)
-Chevrolet=Sauber (I go nothing as far as reasons go here, I just picked )
-Dodge=Jaguar (the Jag actually is the best for painting as it has no rear wheel well to break up things)

*The idea is to take the real Cup car schemes and apply them as best as you can to the GTP bodies, it isn't always easy so this is a great challenge for painters. However if you use "pre-made" bases, you MUST credit the base painter...I encourage you to do the work yourself as one of the main reasons we do these sets is for painters to stretch themselves...

Again the idea is to take what you see on the MENCS cars every Sunday and put them on GTP cars...

DO NOT CLAIM MORE THAN ONE CAR AT A TIME!!!!

*Let's not drag this out, if you are too busy to do this quickly, do not claim a car. (Quickly means LESS than a week) I will cancel any claim that goes more than seven days without my receiving said claimed car). It hurts the project when you drag it out.

*You need to use NASCAR Cup contigs in the way you see them in the two examples above. The windshield banners will be the Monster Energy banner as used in the series. Please do that on your paint...Rear Driver names need not be used, it's not practical on every car type....

*PLEASE include the proper Manufacturer's emblem/name on your car ie...Bowtie, blue oval, Yoda emblem...etc...

*Let's NOT do the "Throw-Back" schemes for this, for now.

*Please TURN OFF "Dirt Layers"

*Paint the driver and pit crews for your cars....

*Make sure you put a number on the night number plate so the car is usable for night racing.

*If you are doing a historical Nascar/Fictional car on the Jaguar, consider using a three-digit number if it is an active MENCS series number (at least in the car file)

When you post a claim for a car state which primary sponsor you will be doing, this way if someone else wants to do alternate primary sponsored cars, they may claim that.

You know I'm honest about things, this is not what I had in mind when I suggested in that thread, I have no desire to do NASCAR type schemes on these cars, I was hoping we would be doing fictionals only, I would actually fire up the painting program for that. I'm really not into NASCAR much these days.

 

There IS another set option....HMMMM!
