I was digging through an old harddrive and found this edit of Richmond Fairgrounds I made a couple years ago to appear as it was in the mid to late 80s. For anyone interested I thought I would share it. Credit goes to all original track makers (which I think was papyrus anyway). I just edited mips and moved a few walls and such.

No extensive testing has gone into this, but I did take a few laps with the AI and they seemed to behave well.

Looks Justin9's 1970 track, with the lap record from my GN69 track.ini (Petty holding the record in the '69 Ford).

Since Justin made his track in 2005 and the .lp files are the same, dated 2008, it's safe to say this is an edit of Justin9's richmond_fair_j9.

You should always include the original readme, which I have pasted below so you can add it -

AI NOTES!
-from SteveB
"The primary [track] and [ai_track] settings are for BGN. The CTS settings are for CTS; I have included some specific lines (remmed out with a semi-colon) for the Aero88 mod. I am not real happy with the AI behavior; they're a bit docile -- fast, but they tend to run in line. They are very hard to pass. I had the most fun running the Aero cars; they're slower; even with my alternate settings. There is not much passing here. However, if an AI does pass, it takes him about 4 laps to complete it. It will take you that long too! These AI speeds are based on about 4 different people's reports of what they could do. After that, I slowed the AI down a bit because they are so hard to get around. The raceline on the track is their race.lp; its not necessarily the best route around the track, but you can use it for brake and accelerate markers."

it's safe to say this is an edit of Justin9's richmond_fair_j9.

I'm pretty sure this was the only version of Richmond Fairgrounds that was ever made and any edits were based off it.

This edit looks better than the one I tried about 5 years ago. lol
