Make sure you are importing only the car parts and make sure when it asks you use the scene materials. Like Paul said without the scene its hard to tell.
Just one last ?. Once you unpacked in winmnip and had your unpack folder and changed all the files did you rename that unpack folder to the mod name like the 3do? Once you do that then you just drag the make3do into that folder and run it and it spits out the dat you want.
