Good eye, never realized that change.
One thing that was on my Nadeau diecast that I always preferred was that the numbers were that lime green. Always thought that worked so much better than the orange.
This reminds me of the old Codies IndyCar games where under yellow, track vehicles would actually come on track to tow away crashed cars and sweep the surface. Was a nice little bit of immersion I haven't really seen since that would be cool if it were in NR03
Minor update because I'm bored.
Mod: Open wheelers. Whether it be a more modern Formula 1 or 2 or anything, 90s IndyCars, a less intensive IR18 (despite how good the NFF one is), anything. Also some good prototypes and GT's
Track: Street circuits. Any. Fictional get bonus points.
Thing: I dunno...
I posted a Gordon car in my thread literally five minutes before your logo investigation haha. Definitely not arsed enough to change it though lol.
Interesting find though. What a strange quirk.
Boy one name that came up in this thread who's work I wish I could see again was iFreezn. That dude's creativity from N3 to NR03 was bonkers, especially imo in his redesigns and alternates of real-life cars. In some ways those indirectly influenced me in my desire since like 2013 to do alt...
You should be proud of your progress mate. Your skills have grown a lot in quite a short time, and it certainly doesn't hurt to have more sets out there. The more 90s the better I say.
It actually was a brand they put out that actually was called dnL (or 7 Upside Down). Basically the opposite of 7 Up - green, caffeinated, and more lime than lemon. I actually kinda preferred it from normal 7 Up tbh
EDIT: Welp, Slip beat me to it lol
What a stroke of luck you met someone Japanese who could translate! Makes this even awesomer.
Doing absolutely brilliant work as always. Have always yearned for Suzuka sets. Seeing them finally be made to the best quality makes my heart smile.
Those are all some great finds.
Y'know, the more that I think about it... why on earth was NASCAR in Japan? Especially a bunch of the West cars? Was there really that big of an interest?
Your work on the cars is stellar on its own as always, but re-doing all the pit crews? Absolutely superb. This is gonna be fun, massive thanks to all involved for the hard work.
I hate to but I must be the nitpicky asshole because I used to absolutely love the Rooster so much... are you planning to complete the hood circle-y gradient Tide logo onto the front QPs? Like onto that bit that isn't the hood?
I did a "what if" of that car on the 98 Taurus a little while ago. Honestly that should've been the primary from 1998 on, it is absolutely gorgeous. Brilliant job!
I'll throw my hat in the ring: more not-NASCAR stuff. 90's CART mod would be simply outstanding. A more modern one that could handle some fictional chassis differentiation would be sick. And a better F1 mod would put the cherry on top.
In the same realm, more street circuits, either real ones...
I made a Service Merchandise logo a couple years ago and posted it on nnracing here if you want to fix the one on the rear. Its not 100% but might be better than the really pixelated one.
Other than that fabulous job! One of my favorite schemes right there. Keep em coming!
Congrats man! That's a big step, and a Master's definitely feels nice to have in hand after a couple years of grad school.
I'm so looking forward to this. I've been hoping someone would pick this up and am kinda surprised that no one has until now. Looking good so far!
The carview files are available in the download section here: http://stunodracing.net/index.php?resources/new-iss-beta__formula-1-xfiles.4303/
Some tips that I have since I've spent some time doing stuff for that mod:
- Since you're trying to do a 2020 set I'd put everything on the car 1...
