Welcome to Three Seven Speedway! This track originates all the way back to 1994 and SEGA's Model 2 arcade. Over the years the track saw many different variations, all with their own unique quirks and details, but one thing remained: this was THE racing game on any system that had it.... except the Saturn.

Have you ever wondered what id be like if the track was real? Now you can finally take on the action-packed dangers of this track, in full realism. This track was made with that question in mind, and the track is even more scary now than it ever has been. No drift turns or 4-2-4 power sliders here, only the toughest of the tough will be able to ride these curves at full tilt.

  1. Aggression Bump

After complaints about relaxed AI, the AI have been given a boost in aggression. -AI now...

Damn, the nostalgia...
Thank you so much for making this! It is a dream come true for me, as someone who has been a Daytona USA fan since 1993 and playing NASCAR sims since 1995. I'd love to see this one eventually get fully decked out in Daytona-accurate scenery, along with alternate versions based on the Daytona USA 2 variants (Forest Dome might be asking too much of the NR3003 engine, though,) but even as it stands this version is incredible, very fun and a track I'll be driving it for the foreseeable future.

HOWEVER, there is one rather major problem that I've encountered in longer races where pit stops become a factor. The AI can't seem to really handle the pits, awkwardly passing by their stalls slightly before getting "dragged" at a reverse angle back into them, and crashing into the car in front of them when leaving. Sometimes they even drive too fast past their stall and get stuck between them, which seems to trigger the "tow truck" mode, making them go at least several laps down while sitting in the pits forever. It's a shame because while I'd love to run long races here, it's kind of a drag when over half the field is wrecked out or spends most of the race sitting in the pits. If that were fixed, this awesome track would be perfect!

Hmmm, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Ill see if I can find a fix.
Thanks for doing this and the fixes to make it better.
Great track but... The ai still go to single file in about 10 laps (with some passes).

Sorry you don't enjoy the track, I'm working on making the AI as good as I can. Please be sure to read the whole update log where I explain in detail why the AI fan out the way they do. Not only do they fan out in both the 1997 Arcade, the 2001 Dreamcast, and the 2017 Championship Edition, but in each of those games respectively the leader can be seen upwards of 7 seconds ahead after only 8 laps, let alone 400 laps. This is replicated in this version as well, Furthermore, the track very much akin to a hybrid of Pocono, Texas, and Dover with progressive banking... this would lead the track to produce much more strategy based racing single-file if the track were real, not the pack racing you would seek for your typical offline league. The track is designed to spread the cars out into single, double, and sometimes triple car battles exactly how you have described, just like the arcade and just like the track would do if it were real.

Again, sorry you don't like how the AI behave, but by nature the track will not, nor will it ever, produce the pack racing you've pestered me about on discord every time we talk John. I've made it abundantly clear to you that the intention was to keep this rendition of the track faithful to the Arcade, yet based in real life. If you would like pack racing akin to modern cup speedway packages, you have my full permission to upload a pack INI to here, but you wont be seeing it from me.

Considering you rated this 5-stars on v1 rather than v1.1, (with AI that's even more prone to fanning out than what you're complaining about on this update) feel free to keep using the old version as you so desire!
Nice looking track, can't wait to try it.

Your welcome! In the video we have the Daytona USA 2 mod converted to cup90, mencs19 with a mixed list of 2019 and 2020, ICR with a fully random grid from all my carsets, World of Outlaw Sprints, GTP with the NASCAR carset, Saturday Night Stock Car 70s with RacingGraphix paints, PFWCTS with a 1998 Carset, 2009 Trucks with a 2008 Set I think, Modifieds with a fully mixed up set, Bronte Topless Racing with its only set, NG4v2 but with a mixed set from the original NG4 with the v2 schemes, NNS08 with 08 cars, PTA, PWF IROC using 4 combined carsets to reach 43 starters, SS.net COT, NXS2020 with its base sets, GN70ss with some classic cars, Aero88 with a mix of cars, and in the final shot I used 2016 Xfinity even if you cant see it. Sorry about being vague on carsets, I normally mix my sets to create more interesting and colorful rosters instead of black&white boring stuff.
Daaaytoonaaa let's go away!
