Any Chase Briscoe fan can tell you that Chase grew up idolizing Tony Stewart. Like Tony, Chase grew up in Indiana and used a successful sprint car background to transition into NASCAR. However, a lot of drivers have paid tribute to Tony Stewart on throwback weekend while another sprint car racing Indiana native who drove a 98 has been mostly forgotten. 20 years ago this week, Kenny Irwin Jr. died in a practice crash at New Hampshire. In 5 years of Darlington Throwbacks, nobody has paid tribute to Kenny but hopefully this will be the year that changes.

This car started out with me just wanting to make a cool Chase Briscoe car, but once I saw that this week was the 20th anniversary of Kenny’s passing, it only made sense to make it a throwback. It’s not perfect, but I hope you guys like it and feedback is welcome.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it
This is so awesome!!!!!! It sucks that the cup cars didn't have the kill switch till it was way too late. Kenny Irwin had such a promising future. Very proud of this scheme. Nice work!

Thank you and I definitely agree. Kenny could have shown his potential with the Ganassi Dodges in 01 and 02 but a senseless tragedy took that chance away.
