so im starting to mess around some with it.so i got everything i need.i went onto 3ds max and after i got everything on there the scene looks dark where do i adjust that?

i know paint is on wrong car this was just a test i also did this after i fixed it cause i wanted to make sure that it wasnt that
First off the bat, you can't render a Brazil scene with Mental Ray, Max stopped support for Brazil after 2009 or 2010, in order to use a Brazil scene you'll have to remap everything, which is not very easy to do if your just starting out. I've been trying max now for several years and still don't know how to remap Brazil scenes.
What you need to do first thing is go on youtube and search setting up max, there's a lot of info there that will help you. Setting it up correctly from the getgo will make it less painfull in the end.

I have a tough time with the newer versions my self. MR is junk if you ask me but that’s because I don’t know how to use it. I’m old fashion I guess. Bring back Brazil!
Doug, you should do a youtube video for folks on how to convert old brazil scenes to MR. I bet lots of folks would enjoy it!
