If i'm remembering correctly there is an adjustment in the track .ini files that you can adjust (reduce) the number of crashes. I used to have this written down but now can't find it. Anybody know what I'm talking about and if so what do I adjust ??? Also while I'm asking, is there a adjustment to control the length of cautions ? Appreciate any\all help ! Thanks

You can extend cautions by manually throwing the yellow. Go to options and controls or something, where you're quick chat is. Then you can change one of the values to !yellow$

Whenever you press that button, the yellow will fly, or while still under caution with "1 lap to green" you can press it again to extend the caution another lap. As far as reducing laps under caution, I'm not sure. I have heard you can change the track type to be a road course under the hood, then it will only run 1 lap of caution. But this of course would have it's own side effects.

Regarding AI crashing, it really depends on what the issue is. It can be drafting_distance, braking_dlongpad(?), dlat_pad, ai_line_modifier, ai_squeeze, lp's, or a combination of everything. Try to explain the symptoms or cause of the wrecks as to provide a more accurate adjustment suggestion.

I know about the first part of your reply, you can also add a lap & cancel out a black flag. As far as the crashing, I downloaded the JGIR track from this site. Great track\great grafx, it's a fictitious 7 mile track. But basically every race there are at least 2-3 crashes early and with it being a 7 mile track the cautions are painfully long ! Years ago there used to be a single adjustment in the track ini file that you could reduce the number of wrecks\cautions, I wrote it down but can't find it now.

Simplest thing to do is turn the cations off. When this track first came out, what 10, 11 years ago or more the league I was running in did a race with the cations off, after a few wrecks and pit stops it was the most boring online race I was ever involved in, like a half hour of running laps alone, I almost fell asleep.

The line you might be thinking of is ai_wall_offset which I think is also the one Coco was referring to. 1-100 value. At 100, if contact is made between two cars it is considered contact with another car. Basically how it would happen in real life. The lower the number the more the cars start morphing into each other which gives a little leeway when contact is made.

But it's not a one line fixes all sort of thing. It might very well fix it, but it also depends on the problem you're having.
