Get rFactor 1 everything you want is there, it's $7.50 right now on Steam. Though there is open wheel mods in NR03 that kind of modeling is not really possible.
Some of the indy cars i have tried for nr 2003 are really good highly recommend you check em out.

What assetto corsa lacks that is essential for oval racing

double file restarts
cautions
pace cars
Nascar/indycar penalty system
Nr 2003 has these not sure about rfactor 2 as i have not dabbled in that game much.
The gap is closing rapidly, it'll probably never be NR2003 for oval racing but then sometimes NR2003 isn't all there for oval racing...time to broaden your palette, it'll change your sim racing life

I have played other oval racing games actually I own pretty much own every EA sports title released for the Ps2 and i also own NASCAR heat 4 for pc
I mainly play Nr 2003 for the immersion factor and modability the pit crew animations are pretty impressive for a game so old
guess i am an eye candy type of guy.

i actually repurchased rfactor 2 during the recent steam sale perhaps i'll give it a go someday! If studio 397 end up adding details like pitcrews i'd be sold on the game almost immediately i have read some threads on the rf2 fourms that this is actually on the games road map for development or at least was promised back when isi was in charge so i'll be sure to keep an eye out.

Apologies if i come off as weird i take immersion seriously with my racing games.

I have an idea, which is GP2/F2 mod. But i cant create a mod. So i need tires flying off cars...+ I request you to make CART 1998 mod. Thank you.
Mod idea ?
I think you must post in here

If CART 1998 the best option is make carset for OWR mod.

Given the time involved, and all the knowledge needed to do it right, I'd venture to say somewhere between 1000 -2500 range. Just a guess on my part though since I don't know all that much in mod making.

It's $7.50 for rFactor 1 and if you look on this site or just ask there are plenty of us who can point you to all the free mods you could possibly want, I have several F2/3 mods, there's an award winning '98 CART mod, AWARD winning. And the best thing about rFactor is if you give the AI time to learn the track they actually race you and not just run you over.

Honestly why pay thousands to have a mod made for what is pretty much an out dated sim when you can get another pretty much out dated sim that has everything you want and more. Your logic escapes me.

Also why bother making an f2 mod when the game F12020 is specifically built to accommodate these cars and physics? I have heard great things about that game.

I think your best bet might be to try asseto corsa. Or another sim. I’m not sure Nr2003 has the capability of tires flying off the car

There is one thing that I always wanted to understand, why in NR2003 the wheels and parts don't come out with the crashes, and from NR2002 backwards it happens.

Another point just out of curiosity, I like the damage system of Nascar Legends, where not all parts are repaired forcing you to run with smashed part.

I have it for Xbox One. Actually, I have it from 2015 to 2020. Great games, by the way.

As far as I know it would be impractical: Would have to rebuild the .EXE and also the mods...
Ah i see how does the collision work in nr 2003? i noticed when taken a look at the menesc mod there's a bunch of make_a files.

To be honest, I don't know how it works, but I can already imagine how hard it must be to model the damage or something. I think like this: I, as a Sandbox apprentice, already see difficulty and time that is spent with small things, such as resurfacing a track, touching the textures of anything, changing the physics of the walls, and it gets more complicated when I want to touch a pitstall, lines W, etc... Just to edit/convert a track I see that it takes a lot of work and days, I already imagine what it would be like to build one from scratch, and therefore, I imagine even more the work that it takes to build a mod. Honestly, mod and track builders deserve my respect!
